Party Time Tuesday #14.

Ready for today's challenge?! Oh, it's an easy one at Party Time Tuesdays! Use brads! I don't know about you, but I think I use brads on almost every card I make! I love those little embellies! Today's card is a little different for me. I colored these flowers a few weeks back, working on the feather technique for copics. I followed a sketch off Lord Have Mercy. I used Koishe Basic Grey paper and thought the sketch went well to show off the pretty paper. I have to admit at first I thought it was a crazy color combo for me. I used Durango cardstock, and lavendar lace. Seemed odd when I was making this card, but I think it looks so nice with the paper.

This week's guest designer at Party Time Tuesday's is Suzy from Scrap With Suzy. She was our guest designer back in July. She has some wonderful scrapbook pages on her blog. Make sure you jump over there and say hi.

While you're blurffing, head to the Party Time Tuesday blog, and see what the other team members created. Or you can jump right to their blogs, which are listed to the right! Make sure you play along with us. Link your birthday card, with a sentiment on the front, back at Party Time Tuesday's so we can swing by your blog and say hi!

Scrappin' Birthday's.

Okay, a small miracle on this scrapbook page! It's completed before he turned nine, or was almost became nine! I do tend to fall behind on my pages, and will try to not get a year behind! His birthday was 7-11, and it's not Sept yet, which means I did good! LOL! He looks so sweet and innocent in the photos. Time sure does fly! This will also be the only page that has glitter in his scrapbook! I added bling to the candles. I used the Celebration cartridge, and the design studio to weld and create the border of candles.
The cartridge also cut out the title. I love the photo of him giving the I love you sign. It's such an endearing photo of him. As you can tell, he really love legos!

My case about being behind sometimes! Gabi's birthday is in Nov. So, these pages are well over due! Good thing they just get excited to see the pages when I'm done and don't complain about why they aren't done yet! Gabi will flip thru her books all the time. Trey, well, when I told him I made him some pages, he wasn't as impressed this go round. Guessing he might be at the age where he won't appericate them until he's got kids of his own. Coarse, he did say he picked up the expression he used from ICarly's Sam. Ump! Don't get snarky over scrapbook pages with your Momma! LOL!

I saw some tricks on how to take photos with birthday candles. I loved how it looked in the scrapping mag, so I tried when we were getting ready to sing to her. Her face is lit up so perfectly! She loves her American Girl Dolls, and had to have her doll in the photo with her. She got to go to the American Girl Doll Bistro in GA the next day. So, there's a page coming about that as well. She was all about doll that weekend!
She was a bit funny with the AMG sticker I used. I pulled out Rebecca. I know she's got the doll, and that outfit. So, I put her on the page. Gabi had to point out, that wasn't Rebecca in the photo, but Nikki. She could tell, because Nikki has freckles, and curlier hair than Rebecca. So, any other momma out there who will be scrapping a future page of American Girl's, don't look at just the outfit on the doll! LOL!
Supplies: Trey; Basic Grey papers, Cricut, SU ink, DCWV cardstock, PTI buttons.
Gabi's: DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies stack, DCWV cardstock, Cricut, SU ink, Jeanette's Books.

Scrapping Snow Day.

We had a great snow day this past winter. Funny, cuz we had some no snow snow days too, with no snow at all on the ground, but the kids still ended up out of school because the weather man swore it was coming.....which was fun for the kids until they lost half days too make up for the missed time. Which Gabi was not happy about, and complained up and down how unfair it was, because they didn't call off school!
This one time though, the weather man got it right! We had a very nice snow fall! It was fun watching the kids in the neighborhood enjoy it. It was a good time for Max as well. He got to play in the snow as well! And some of the other dogs were out playing as well.

Just a funny note on this, you can't tell in the photo, but Trey's wearing a pair of my rain boots. He didn't have any snow boots, and he flat out refused to wear a pair of Gabi's old pink boots! Can't really blame him, but the rain boots were way to big on his feet!

My Cricut has been getting quite the work out! But I'm loving what I'm making it! I have the Design Studio and Sure Cuts A Lot, so it's fun to sit down and figure out what I want to put on a pages while I'm scrapping. The snowflakes, the title, hat, mittens, and scraf are all cut out with the Cricut. I love using scraps to make to make accessories on the page. I used some glitter paper for the snowflakes, and the Magic of Winter title. So, the page has some bling on it. The snowmen are actually part of the designer paper pack from DCWV. This is an older retired stack.
As always my layout is from Jeanette Lynton's books.

Here, Kittie!

Okay, how cute is this image?! Another fun new set from TAC. It's called It's Your Day. This little girl is so stinking cute. There's another image of her throwing a fit, and it makes me laugh when I see it. I have an idea for that card, but haven't had time to sit down and make it yet. I made this card for another neighbor as a thanks for watching after my other fur babies, my three cats. Another reason to use the Whiskers and Max papers. Even managed to use a scrap of some Basic Grey paper from a scrapbook page I just recently completed for Trey.

I did the Jen Del Muro's sketch from Sat. 8/21. My cutie pie is colored with copics. I popped out the cat with pop dots.

Wuff You.

Man, this doggie set from TAC is way too cute! I got it because it has a doggie sleeping upside down, with the feet in the air. Or I guess I should say on his back, feet up in the air. That's so how Maxwell sleeps when he's in a deep good sleep. Cracks me up when he sleeps like that! So, I had to get this set!

This card went to one of my neighbors. My neighbors are so kind to Max. He goes over to play with their doggies (Callie and Lilly), all the time. Wears Callie and Max out! He knows what it means when we say Callie, so we try not to say it until he's getting ready to go play with her. It's his home away from home. They've been great neighbors to me and my family, and Max. So, I wanted to send a note of thanks and thought the set was perfect for it!

I played around with my copics, trying to make the fur look like Max's coat. Think I need to do some more playing with that! I finally broke into my Whiskers and Max paper from Basic Grey. And yep, I only got it because it said Max on it! LOL! I gotta say, I do love my doggie! He's a sweet heart!

I did The Sweet Stop Sketch 70 on this card.

Party Time Tuesday #13 For a Child

Today's a fun challenge at Party Time Tuesdays! Make a card for a child! I grabbed a fun stamp set from The Angel Company. I have a bad secret! I stole this from my mother in law! I did tell her I was swipping it from her when I took it! After playing with it a bit, I'll give it back! I promise! Thinking it's against crafters rules to snag stamp sets! It was a perfect little set for this challenge. How cute is that bear?! On top of that, used some scraps for the card. Trying to use up some of my stash.

We have another guest designer this week. It's Kimberly from Faerie Tales With Paper. She's got a fantastic blog, and is part of several design teams. Including being on the DT for one of my favorite challenge spots, Flutterby Weds. Make sure you pop by her blog and see what she's up too, and what she created for the challenge today.

You should totally check out the other Party Time Tuesday's designers as well. You can access them by clicking on the Party Time Tuesday's link, or their names over to the right on my blog! They all do such fun and wonderful birthday cards!

As always, please play along. Link your birthday card with the sentiment on the front to the blog so we can come see your creation!

Supplies: TAC set, stickles, copics, nesties, Versamark dew drops.

Modge Podge Projects.

I made these a few weeks ago, and have waited to put them up until one package made it's way to a friend. Those who know my sweet blogging friend, Kim, had a little girl. So, I made Charlotte some little blocks with her name. The front says her name, and the backside says Panda Bear. I love that nickname. It used to be a nickname I had in 7th grade becasue of my dark eyes, and dark hair. Had quite the collection of panda bears. So, I thought it was darling she called her that before they knew what they were having.
The top of it was decorated with flowers. A girl can never have too much bling, right? The paper was Nana's Nursery Glitter stack, so the papers had some glitter on it. I dusted the edges with Palette Bella Rose ink pad. Added buttons, charms I had from making a set for Gabi's 3rd grade teacher, scrappers floss, and prima flowers. Gotta say, those blocks are so much fun to make! I hope it's a special thing for Charlotte as she grows up too!
I found this wall hanging at Michael's dirt cheap. The paper was torn on one side. It was like 2 bucks, so I had to get it. I removed the handle, flower, and redid the papers. I couldn't make up my mind if i wanted it for my bathroom, hall bath and Gabi's room. It sat for a few weeks before I figured out I wanted to make it for Gabi's room. Years ago I did her name, so used the same papers I did her name letters in. That way it was a perfect match for her room.

The girl loves her bling, so added some bling flourishes I've been hoarding, a butterfly on clearance at Michael's and some ribbon! All in all, great cheap project! Gabi loved it, and I enjoyed making it. It started out looking like the photo to the right. The flower was attached by wire. So, I removed it. I left it alone, because it still matched the paper well. My friend found one later with a lavendar flower. I liked that flower a lot better, but it wasn't two bucks!

Soft Sympathy

Well, sad post today. I had to make a sympathy card for my Mom. My Dad passed away on Friday. He's had bad health for years, and seemed to always be fighting some odd aliment. He's in a better place now, but still sad for those left behind. (The card I had made about two weeks ago with the balloon and blue skies was for him, as he was having strange fevers and kidney problems they couldn't figure out.) My Mom has spent years helping care for him as his body turned on him, so I'm sure the void she'll feel will be hard to fill. I can safely say I'm a Daddy's Girl. I know he enriched my life, and taught me profound life lessons thru his life.
I used Peace With In from SU. Such a calm set. She raised birds, so I thought she'd enjoy the bird image. I try to keep it soft with my color choice. I added a touch of stickles, well, cuz it's hard not to add bling. I hope it still keeps the card peaceful and calm. I live out of state from them, so I'm having to send thoughts across the miles until I can be there in person. I used the Card Patterns sketch 78 for my sketch.

Supplies: Nesties, SU Chocochip ink, stickles SU stamps, Martha punch, K and CO paper, Wild Wasabi cardstock, Close to Cocoa cardstock,

Trey Pages.

Here's some pages of Trey. This is his Fall ball pages. I love this sketch! Would you believe there's 13 photos on that page? All together the double layout has 17 photos! That's a lot of photos! The 2x2 size of the small photos captured the spirit of the game without cluttering the page.
I cut out the baseball chap, ball field and accessories were cut out with the Cricut Every Day Paper Dolls. Had a ton of fun finding all the baseball themed stuff on there. That cartridge had a ton of stuff on there! Learned thru trial and error, that the person seems to just cut out the one size. So, when I was tring to make him a set size, and hit the real dial size I kept getting just a 3 inch head! So funny! I stopped trying to make him bigger after that, and think he's just the right size for the page. But I want to play with that one some more, because of how much stuff it has on there. The stickers I've had forever, and was glad to use them up. The designer paper is Hopscotch. It used to be at Michael's but I don't think they sell it any more.

The other page is from Mother's Day. I took the kids to a State park with the James River as the backdrop. Since it was Mother's Day, they had to wear what I wanted, and smile when I said smile! He was a total ham, and did a great job for me. Turned out he was sick too! Oops! He slept the whole way back home. Guess that was why he was so polite! LOL! But great photos of him!

I used one of my favorite paper packs from TAC, Sands of Time. It matched the colors of the photos perfectly! It comes with a sheet of letter stickers, so his name is from that sheet in the set. I used About A Boy, retired, stamp set from TAC, for the small sentiments you see on there. The little boy is from All That's Scraps. You can see the freckles I gave him to match Trey.

Scrapping Good Time.

I've been on a scrapbook kick this week. Gotten quite a few pages done. Posting real quick, so my MIL can peak at them. I've been using my Cricut like crazy. Loving it! Playing with the Design Studio and Sure Cuts A Lot software too! As always, my sketches are from Jeanette's books, Cherish, and Imagine. I can't say enough about what they've done to my pages since I started using them. I'm big on a lot of photos in my pages, and the sketches make it totally possible to pile them in there, and not look crowded. And uses at least three sheets of paper per page, so as a paper addict, gotta love that!

Anyhow, just gonna put up two pages at at time. I've made way more than that this week, but figured it would be a bit much to put them all up! Today's pages are from when we visited family in AL. We don't get to see them too often, so we try to snap photos of the kids together. They have one cousin there, and she's a few months younger than Trey. We try to get them an outfit that'll work for both her and Gabi, and match Trey well enough. We took them to a local park and snapped some photos of them together. I used some retired stamp sets from TAC for the sentiments added to the papers.

We also visited the local Zoo. I have to say, shockingly, I don't think I've ever made a zoo page. I'm trying to recall one, and can't. Might have to dig thru older scrapbooks and see if there's a page in there. Either way, I stamped out the animals from TAC's Wild Things sets with Versamagic pads. The paper is probably a bit too toddlerish for their ages, but its perfect for the theme, and I've had that cute DCWV Nana's Nursery stack for so long, I'm happy to use it up! My title choice is because the Zoo had a train that we rode thru the zoo. Which was why I also used the train sheet on the pages.
Supplies: All papers are from DCWV stacks. Stamps were TAC. Cricut, SU inks, Versamagic Inks, primas, nesties.

Happy Birthday, Kristie!

So cute, huh?! Megan is such a sassy girl! Let me tell ya, I'm doing good using stamps that have been neglected too long! Today was surprise cards for Kristie. Di, our team leader, planned this out weeks ago. I hope she has a wonderful birthday tomorrow! Be sure to drop by the Party Time Tuesdays blog to see what the other designer came up with! You can wish a happy birthday to Kristie over there as well! Or you can get to each of their blogs by clicking on their names to the right on my blog.

Today we do have a challenge for you at the Party Time Tuesdays Blog. It's a color challenge. Make a pink and brown birthday card. Make sure you put your birthday sentiment on the front of your card. I used some of my favorite TAC, The Angel Co. paper pack, Mimi. I have some left of the the original paper, so this isn't the double sided More Mimi. I used SU cardstock, both colors are retried. My cute image is from The Greeting Farm. I paper pieced her outfit from a tag in the paper pack. I love using them that way. Gives me such cute outfits that don't use up any of my papers. She's colored with copics, and topped off with stickles, and side order of pearls!

Than our guest party gal is Danni from Danni's Dreams. I'm beating she doesn't need much of an introduction! She's a sweetheart in blog land! Some darling cards, and stinking cute kids too! She's always posting wonderful creations, so I'm sure she's made a fantastic card for Kristie today! Make sure you go over and hi to her as well!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you play along!

Help me find a TAC Tutorial!

TAC demos, can't get into Paper Wings, says the password is wrong, but I can't figure out where to sign in to put in the right one. So, coming here cuz bloggers always have what ya need! I saw a blog that had a tutorial for Window Box Wonder. Where the back of the head is inside the card, and the girl is peaking out the window. They gave steps on how they made the window having her peaking thru it, and the inside with the back of her head. My MIL just ordered this set. She doesn't live local for me to sit down and show what I saw when I saw the blog. I meant to keep the link to send to her, but can't find it. If any of you know what I'm talking about, can you please send me the link?! Just wanted to send it to her, so she can see how they put the girl on the inside of the window. Thanks!

Fluttering TAC

Got some new stuff in yesterday from The Angel Company! Was dying to get into the goodies and play! This was my first order with the new TAC catty. (I am a TAC demo if you need anything, I'd be happy to help you out!) Love, Love, LOVE the new paper lines. This one today is Maggie. Emma is just as pretty too! I'm sure I'll be playing with that paper this week! Along with some fun new stamp sets!

I fell in love with this new level two hostess set, Happiness Is, so I pulled it out to play with first. So sweet! Reminds me of Danni from Danni's Dreams. Since today is Wed, I just had to play along with her Flutterby Wed challenge, which is an open challenge today. I also did the Mercy Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I flipped my image, to show off the butterfly punch I found at Michaels. How cool is that punch? It's an EK Success punch. It punches out the butterflies too, so easy to add them as an embellie to the card.

Party Time Tuesday #11.

It's Open Challenge for the party today at Party Time Tuesday! My card is for one of my favorite people! I made this card for my sweet friend, Jennifer. Her birthday was Aug 1st, and her favorite color is electric blue. I'm not good blues, but TAC has this great paper line called Lilly Anna, which has bright blue, pink, green and white in it. So, I grabbed it to make her card. I had shown her my first easel card a few months back, so I knew I wanted to make her one of those. I followed Sweet Spot Sketch #67 for the front of her card. I used one of my Greeting Farm stamps, Stella, cuz my friend has sassy short hair like her. I paper pieced her outfit from the tags that comes with the paper pack. Added some stickles, and smooch to her lips.
Be sure to pop by the Party Time Tuesday blog to see what the other team members made for today! That'll get some creative juices flowing! Or you can click on their names to the right on my blog lists. We'd love to see what you create so make sure you link back up to the blog so we can pop over to your party!

We also have a guest designer with us each week this month. This week it's Jan. Be sure to pop by her blog and say hi, and see what she's created for the Party! She's got some darling cards and projects on her blog. It'll be worth the click I promise!

OH! I have to share this. No idea if I'm the last person to figure this out or what, but I came to it by accident. I had used my Martha Trellis punch to punch the white sheet for the inside of the card. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do, but wanted to layer it with some pattern paper. So, I looked at the scallop part, and wondered if one of my just scallop punches would fit. Go figure, the SU scallop punch is the exact shape as it. So, it layered under it perfectly. I'm sure someone knew that, but I didn't! Glad I tried it!
Supplies: nesties, copics, Martha punch, SU punches, SU cardstock and ink, Greeting Farm Stella, Verve birthday stamps, TAC Lilly Anna SWIC, and ribbon, primas, scrappers floss.
Thanks for stopping by! Make sure you drop by the Party Time Tuesday blog and join the party! It won't be the same with out you!

Bookmark Mojo

I've been making bookmarks this week. I recently did a Bible Study with a group of great ladies called Breaking Free By Beth Moore. I really enjoyed the Bible Study. Than when I found that Blue Skies set at Verve Stamps, I saw they had the main Bible Verse as a stamp too. I just had to grab it. I knew I wanted to make a bookmark with it. I decided to make one for each of the ladies who did the Bible Study with me. I've gotten three done, but have to make the other three still.

I wanted to make a bookmark for Gabi, using one of the sentiments from Blue Skies. So, I followed the Mojo Monday sketch for her bookmark. She's gonna love it. She loves bright and blingy things. I was gonna put her name for the sentiment for the sketch, but decided to use the Believe sentiment from a CTMH set that I had. I thought it went perfectly the sentiment I chose for her. The believe came from the single B set, which I think has been retired by CTMH. My sweet friend, Debbie, sent me this uber fun paper pack filled with fun summer colors. It was perfect papers for Gabi, and I also made the yellow bookmarker with the paper pack. Thanks for the fun papers, Debbie!
Supplies: Basic Grey paper, SU cardstocks and ink, SU punches, Verve stamps, Mariposa paper pack, primas, stickles, EK punch from Michael's, gems, Martha punch, nesties,

One Christmas Card Down....

Wow...I'm pretty far behind! I played Sparkle's Christmas challenge, and had so many by this time last year! Guess I need to get working on them, huh? Anyhow, had to play some challenges this morning. I saw a wonderful sketch on The Sweet Stop. Isn't it a lovely sketch? So easy to do and so pretty too! I made this card larger, 5.5x5.5. Don't do square cards often. But this gave plenty of room for embellies, and show off that lovely Basic Grey paper. Than at Anyone For Anya it was Christmas in Aug. So, that worked out perfectly because I had been hording those flowers, and that darling winter stamp set from CC Designs last year, and hadn't made a card with them yet. So sad! Anyhow, I did the dazzling diamond technique for the snowflake, and the Cranberry Crisp that she's sitting on.

Than I paper pieced her clothes. I get she's totally in some crazy patterns. When my friend was visiting a few weekends back, she commented on how boys are wearing crazy plaid shorts, and striped shirts all the time. So, she was thinking they matched! LOL! I totally agree, cuz Trey's dressing like that, and I swear, like all the boy shorts in stores are plaid! All I'm saying loud is totally in! She's fashionable! LOL!

Party Time Tuesday #10.

Wow! Hard to believe its been 10 weeks of parting with the girls at Party Time Tuesdays! Today we have a summer theme for your birthday card. I grabbed from my lovely stash of CC Designs Mermaids. Gabi had challenged me to make a rainbow colored haired mermaid. Remember a few weeks back she wanted hot pink. (This card was made the same time as that one...a day or two later in fact.) I was so pleased with how it turned out, but sad that I had to keep it a secret for so long! I cut along the pattern that I thought reminded me of a wave. Than the set of papers has a sheet of tags. I put her on the tag after I cut her out.
For her hair, I went thru my copics finding colors that went with the next color in the rainbow. Drew lines on a scrap paper to see how they'd go together. I'm pleased with her hair! Than surprise for me, I had just grabbed this paper pack from The Angel Company, (TAC) and had actually colored her to go with a different set of papers, had put her down on top of the TAC papers. She looked so perfect against the colors that I had to switch papers.
I covered her tail in Smooch. Love the subtle shine on there. Dotted her a few times with my white Sharpie Poster Pen-thanks, Kim! I created this sentiment off the computer.
We'd love for you to play along. Be sure to stick that birthday sentiment on the front of your summer card! Link it back up to the Party Time Tuesday blog. Make sure you peak at the other designers too! They all have some smashing summer creations!
Kristie lined up some fun party gals for the month of Aug. This week we have Colleen from A Cards Delight. She's got a great blog, with some fantastic cards! Make sure you pop over to see what she created for the party as well!

Dancing Mojo

Been a wet day here in VA. The grass has been enjoying it, because we've been pretty hot and dry so far this summer. So, I took the kids to see Avitar, The Last Airbender. We really enjoyed it! Trey really liked all the action from the Airbender. Gabi thought it was okay, but I think she was being difficult because the brother wanted to see the movie. You know how it goes with siblings!

Anyhow, came home and did some stamping. I'm telling ya I really like this new set, Blue Skies, from Verve Stamps. I played along withe Mojo sketch today. I'm trying to use some paper lines that I've been collecting and not using up. So, this is Eva from Basic Grey. Such pretty rich tones. I went a little light with embellies, because the paper is so pretty. I edged the ends with Brilliance ink, to give it a soft shimmer in person. I thought Rain from The Greeting Farm was perfect for the sketch, and the sentiment I picked out to use. Don't they go wonderfully together?! I added Glaze to her boots, and stickles to her umbrella, and hair pins.

Stitchy Bear Stamps sponsored Cupcake Inspiration challenge this week. So, I got to play with a totally sassy fairy named, Sparkles! My, this fairy was fun! And I made her sparkle! She lives up to her name on my card! Gabi's gonna freak when she sees this card! I printed her out a few times on different papers. She's printed on the white sheet twice, and cut out and popped out. Beneath it I layered her wings on the glitter paper I printed her on. I than paper pieced some of her out fit on the top colored image. If you can believe this, all of my card is made from scraps of papers. I gave Sparkle's blonde hair like Tinkerbell has. I added smooch to her eyelids and lips. Just all around fun card! Be sure to check out Rachel's challenge blog to see what her other design team members created for the challenge.
I did the Friday Sketchers #113 for my card.
Supplies: glitter paper from Target, nesties, stickles, smooch, copics, primas, Blossoms and Butterflies DCWV stack,
