Club Anya Blog Hop!

Hello! I hope you're enjoying the Club Anya Blog Hop and seeing all the wonderful Christmas creations from the bloggers! I know everyone has made some wonderful items, and I can't wait to hop myself and see all of them. For my gift box I used a perfect winter time image from Rain Snow and Shine to top off my box. I think this will make a great little tote box for Gabi to give to a friend filled with candies or a few lip glosses. I had so much fun the other day making a card that had fun flock with glitter that I used it again on here. I just added some green Martha Stewart glitter to white fun flock. I colored her with copics. I topped the box with some pretty bling snowflakes. I thought the side needed a little fun too, so I added some ribbons, and snowflakes on it too.

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to click HERE to go back to Club Anya Blog to move onto more blogs participating tonight! Also, they're having a big release party on Paper Craft Planet as well, so be sure to check out the blog for all that information!

Cool Blue!

Mercy, I love this card! Seems like forever since I was able to stamp. Busy with the holidays and Gabi's birthday. We were able to give her a very memorable 10 year birthday. Not only did she get to do a night at the Great Wolf Lodge, we took her to American Girl and Bistro for a birthday shopping trip. She loved it and went crazy in there. She was able to pick out a new doll, and got Elizabeth. The place is so cute, both dolls ate at the table with us! Such a fun day for us to share together.
Amazing how quickly life gets sometimes, as I can't believe I haven't been on here since last week! I was able to squeeze in quite a few challenges on this card! And man, does it look great because of it! I love playing along with the challenges, and am so thankful that so many talented people put them on line for me to play along! I snatched this Greeting Farm set at Rachel's Store when she was having a fun Cyber Monday sale. Grabbed a few more Greeting Farm stamps from her while I was there. I popped out the hand muff, the cuffs of her boots, and cut and glue the ear muffs down. They looked weird popped out. The glitter part is made out of white fun flock, and green glitter.

Here's my challenges:

Pile It On: Flowers and Flourishes.

JUGS-Sketch.

Cute Card Thursday-Swirly Girly!

La La Land-Buttons.

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge-The cool blue and the snowflakes were part of my inspiration.

Pink Elephant-Favorite Coloring Medium-Copics.

Ooh La La-Child's Card. My 10 year old daughter loves this image, and all the bling! This will go to her 10 year old friend for Christmas.

Farm Fresh Friday-Color Combo-Baja Blue, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, and White.

Gotta show off my kid for a moment too. She created a card for her friend whose party was today. Sadly, the little girl fell at the skating rink, broke her leg and ankle in the fall. Right as the party was getting started. So, the poor thing left to the hospital, came back right before it eneded to open some gifts, and say bye to her guest. I felt so badly for her. Than my sweet kid wanted to come home and make her a get better card! I'm guessing we'll work on that tomorrow. I helped color the skin on her card, and helped glue it down.

Supplies: Copics, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses, stickles, Martha glittler, SU cardstock-choco chip, baja breeze, choco chip ink, Greeting Farm stamp, nesties, CB folder, fun flock

Gabi's-Raspberry Fizz paper, and ink, Copics, DCWV Sweet stack, Greeting Farm, stickles, nesties,

Gabi is Ten!

Today is Gabi's tenth birthday! The years sure do fly by! We did a small celebration today with a few gifts. One of her gifts came from her Grandma and PawPaw, which was a new outfit for one of her dolls. She got to open gifts before cake, first time ever, too! She was excited about it! So, her doll was changed into the new dress before she blew out her candles. Tomorrow, she gets to head to American Girl Doll Bistro for a celebration there. Sadly, I know she's into the dolls now, but in a few short years, that will be the last thing on her mind! It's gonna be boys! Sheesh! LOL! Wish the world could slow down sometimes! She's truly a blessing to the family. She's such a happy young lady. It's been fun to watch her grow each year! Just wish she wasn't so close to passing me in height!

Quick Mojo!

I managed to pull together a card quickly tonight. I had stamped out some of this cute image by Victoria Case from Susana's store to mail off to some friends as a RAK. Grabbed it, colored her and I was lucky to find some pattern paper that already had the design elements from the Mojo Monday layout. All I had to do was cut it out, and layer it on my base. Than I decided to throw in a few more challenges real fast.

Mojo Monday sketch.

Pink Elephant Recipe card-brads, plaid, and no ribbon. I hope scrappers floss is legal on that challenge! The buttons on the image are actually brads.

Spoon Full Of Sugar-brown and either blue or pink.

Supplies: Victoria Case stamp, Verve Stamp-sentiment, copics, DCWV Sweet Stack paper, Close to Cocoa paper, Pink Piro. ink, stickles, brads, button, scrappers floss.

Thanks for stopping by! Not sure how much blogging I'll get done this week. We're visiting with family for Thanksgiving. Gabi's birthday is Friday. She's turning ten! Trey's class is doing a big Indian Day on Wed. Gabi's got a field trip on Monday. So, lots of running around for me! If I'm not back on here, I hope you all celebrating Turkey Day have a blessed one with family and friends!

First Cricut Page.

Man, I love this tool! I am so impressed with how well that thing cuts! I did this page last week, waiting for my Cricut to arrive. I than cut out my title, the trees, stocking and the ornaments. I was working on another title for a different page when I lost power last night. But I just love how this page turned out! I was amazed watching it cut each letter, and stuff. Love how it'll layer things. I barely touched what this machine can do, and will have fun learning more things on it. So, here's my first work of art with it! The trees are layered with the polka dotted pattern paper. And the cutting out of the ornaments is so detailed!

Side topic, we had a nice Nor'easter come thru yesterday. Kids were off school yesterday and today. Paul was in GA at Home Office, and got trapped there, because the weather was so bad. The bridge outside my neck of the woods is flooded, so we can't cross to the peninsula from there. Paul has now made it back to our area, but has to take the long way home, because of the bridge. We lost power about 8 last night, and it kicked back on around 2 this afternoon. We have a generator, but it hadn't been used, and not something I knew how to operate. So, my neighbors came and set it up for me, so I could plug back up the fridge and freezer. Than I put on the tv to give the kids something to do, other than fight!
Other supplies: DCWV cardstock, pattern paper, TAC stamp, SU garden green ink, stickles, nesties, Queen and Co brads.

It's Flutterby Wed's Thankful challenge.

Pile It On, leaves.

Vintage Santa

I grabbed a few new TAC sets a few weeks back. They had a surprise 50% off sale for their demos, how nice is that? So, I got a few sets I'd been eyeing, but waiting to get. This was one of them. Such a pretty set. Not my usual style, but something about this Santa set just grabbed me. I inked this puppy with Brilliance Coffee Bean ink pad. It has a nice shimmer to it, plus a nice pretty deep color. That matched TAC's Winchester paper line perfectly, so I ended up making a nontraditional Christmas card. The soft blues in the paper went so nicely with some snowflake items I had floating around.
I used a layout from Just Us Girls.
It's been awhile since I've been able to play along on Sparkle's Christmas Challenge, happy I was able to complete a Christmas card on time today!
It's also Bring Out Bling for All Sorts.

Supplies: TAC Vintage Santa, Winchester SWIC, SU Baja cardstock, stickles, Brilliance ink pad.

Sweetness in Red!

How cute is this image? I got it from Susana's store a few weeks back and finally inked it up. I just heart Elisabeth Bell images! Anyhow, I decided to play along with some challenges too.

This is ABC's Green.

Susana's Try It Out Tuesday-on Thursday this week, Sketch. I flipped my sketch, and angled the center a little.

Stamp Something Challenge-one ribbon, 2 papers, 3 embellishments, those were flowers, stickles, and brads.

Cute Card Thursday is Primay, which I tried to pull together with the blond hair, red dress, and blue box. But that one might be pushing it just a touch.

Daring Cardmakers was to use Craft Cardstock.

Supplies: Daisy D paper, Wild Wasabi, Craft cardstock, Robin Red, Wild Wasabi SU ink, copics, stickles, nesties,

Stamping and Family Fun Times.

Finally had some time to create today. It's been a busy few days, and it's been a while since I've played some challenges. I hope everyone had a blast for Halloween. Halloween was fun here. Will have to post a fun photo of that in a moment. I embarrassed poor Gabi and it shows all over her face in the photo. Cracked me up when I saw it later! Our cul-da-sac did a theme of Rednecks for Halloween, and I embellished myself with tattoos, big hair and heavy makeup. Not to say those are redneck things, but that combined with our neighbors and yard, it made me blend in well. Gabi seems to be a bit conservative like her momma, so it was over the top for her! My neighbor's helped decorate our front yard, which had Halloween, Nascar, lawnmowers, kid's toys, and other items thrown about. We added some lights just for fun! There's a photo below of that at night.

This is my Monday Mojo Card.

My take on Rachel's Cupcake Inspirational Challenge.

Pile It On's, Thank you.

Flutterby Wed's free challenge week.
I was moved by the pale blue in Rachel's Cupcakes, and the mushrooms. I added a little ladybug, but I think its hard to see in the photo. I used a Cosmo Cricket line from Rachel's store. I added Angel Wings shimmerz, and stickles to her wings. I popped my wagon, and masked her to add the mushrooms. The mushrooms are from a Doodle Fairy set.
Other supplies: CC designs, TAC sentiment, So Saffron cardstock, Red Riding red ink, stickles, copics, nesties.

Tammi's Swap Card.

Here's our last one. So sad! This was so much fun! You all should try this with your stamping friends sometime. Tammi had sent us two kits. I posted the other one about a week ago. She decided to send us this cute image after she sent the first set out. How cute is that mouse?! I had to have the bats on his tail as if he was looking at them. This is an Amy R layout. I liked the circle idea because it showed off the papers she sent us. I did something for the first time ever too, I used staples on a card. I so don't break out of my box too often. I need to, because I always like something after I've tried it.

Anyways, be sure to stop by Tammi, Rachel, Kim and Debbie's blogs to see what they've created!

Supplies: Basic Grey paper, lavendar lace ink, copics, stickles, nesties.

Rachel's Swap Card

Grrr...just typed in my whole post, and my computer freaked out kicked me off line, and when I came back, looked like Blogger didn't save any of it. If there's a funky title below this one, it's cuz of that whole deal. Once more, this is my card for Rachel's swap. I'm excited to see what everyone else did with this one. I was a touch stumped with it, but I love how it turned out. Kinda a cool eerie card! I cut out the crows from my second image, shaded them with Elegant Eggplant, and sponged the end of my circle.

Be sure to check out Kim, Debbie, Tammi and Rachel's blogs to see what they've created.

Other supplies: Elegant eggplant ink, cardstock, color box white, primas, scrappers floss, gems, nesties.

Kim's Swap

This is Kim's Halloween swap. Kim and I both fell in love with a few sets that TAC released in Sept with their fall supplement. She called the witch, because she was so stinking cute! And I had colored this one right after Kim challenged me to make a green face! I accepted, and think it did turn out uber cute! Her little green body! I popped out parts of her hat, and broom. The layout is from Amy R's website. I used a sentiment from a different TAC Halloween stamp set. I love that Martha punch.

Be sure to pop by Tammi, Rachel, Debbie, and Kim's blogs to see what they did they with the same supplies.
Other supplies: copics, nesties, stickles, primas, scrappers floss, going grey ink.

Witchy Woman!

Gotta say, I love everything about how this card turned out. This is our host Debbie's kit. This image from Stamping Bella is way too cute! I had a blast coloring her! I even did my own sentiment off the computer, and love how it looks. I noticed after taking my photo that it's not even. I used my bow template from Susana's Store to tie the bow.

Other supplies: nesties, copics, stickles, cuttle bug folder.

Be sure to check out these blogs to see what they made using the same supplies.

Stay tuned until Sat to see all the kits revealed!

Total Treat!

Sorry I'm a little late posting this. I had to take photos of a fieldtrip for the school yearbook. Didn't realize it was today until I got to school this morning. You all are in a for a treat this week. My friend, Debbie, hosted another swap for Halloween. Five of us got together, provide everything for the card minus embellishments, and than make a card with the supplies given. So fun to see how each of us makes something totally different with the same supplies. Plus, it's fun to play with someone else's style. I think I go for the brighter papers with this group of crafters.
Today was my swap reveal. I have a confession to make, I totally forgot what cardstock I sent them for the base of their card. I had left my stuff off to the side of my desk, later I cleaned up and had put things away. Leaving me lost as to what I sent. So, I grabbed what was on the desk, but I'm not sure I got the right sheet. This is an image from Pink Cat Studio. Love her work. My papers are from K and Co, their Halloween glitter pack. It was double sided. I colored my chap with copics, and look, Kim, he's green! But I think a half dead, thrown together chap would be green, so didn't break my creative issue with making him green.

Be sure to check out these blogs to see what they've created with the same supplies.

Other supplies: primas, MS punch, Elegant Egg. SU ink, EK punch, stickles, DCWV cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by, make sure to come back until Sat to see all the kits!

Total Sweetness!

Man, shame on my friend, Debbie! She sent me this uber cute image. I'm in love! Normally, I tend to go for the long haired Tilda's. Oh, I'm in trouble now! This cutie was so much fun to color! Made me smile, and reminded me of Shirley Temple! Anyhow, this is my card for the Just Magnolia Sketch. Thank you so much for the image! Very cute!
I'm way behind on blogging this week. It's been a rough week. I'm never sure on how I should view things on life sometimes. Like should you be embarrassed about something, or should you just own up to who you are and say this is me....I'm really a this is the deal type of gal, and possibly too honest for my own good. The last couple years my cycles have been getting the better of my moods, and lately, it's more often. So much to the point where I'm fighting stuff every other month, and it's creating a lot of personal havoc for me. I went to the DR the other day, and started meds for PMDD. How nice of the DR to confirm that I can be a total bag sometimes! LOL! Anyhow, I'm hoping that in a month, I'll be feeling more like my happy easy going self, and less like a pitbull all wound up ready to attack. It takes awhile for the meds to start working, and the mood swings are due to my cycle, so I gotta wait for it to come again to see if it helps. Being a girl is hard sometimes! Sorry for the way personal detail, but it seems like just about every four weeks I'm going on here saying it was rough again...and this is why!

I have to share one other thing, this darling card from my MIL that she sent to my kids. I got my MIL into stamping this past year, turns out to be fair, because she got me scrapping. She lives far away, so I don't get to create with her too often, but she's been moving along on her own. I was so proud of how far she's coming on her own that I wanted to show it off for her. I love seeing someone else get into stamping, and knowing that she's enjoying herself with this hobby.
Supplies: copics, Magnolia stamp, SU sentiment, cardstock-cool carri, pink pirq, and ink, DCWV Sweet stack, primas, SU punches, nesties, stickles.

Pretty cool.

Playing around with Photo Shop. Not usually big on digital stuff. Like to get my hands on things. I grabbed PS Elements not too long ago. I've been watching Kim alter some photos, and had to give it a whirl. So, I've been tinkering around for fun the last few nights. Today, I opened it up again, cuz it's chilly and rainy here today. Plus, Paul's home from the Grand Opening, and worn out, so we've just been chilling at home with football on the tv. So, while I was tinkering around playing with buttons in the software, I altered this flower, had to share it. I think this flower turned out pretty cool. Here is my original photo. I think it looks cool too, but do love how the altered one turned out. Surprisingly, I took this photo last year at a field trip for Trey. They had a little garden area set up, and a few flowers were still blooming in Nov. I snapped a few close up shots while I was waiting on the kids who where in classroom.

Bright Tilda and a redo.

I love how this card turned out! I think it's one of my favorite holiday ones I've made this year. I saw this layout for a challenge today on Unscripted Sketches, and had to play along. I love clean lines, and this has them! One of my blogger friends, Alanna, is on their DT. Make sure you say hi if you have time to play along with them!

Than for Just Magnolia it was to use bright and zingy. I love bright colors at Christmas time, so I made a holiday card. I'm married to a traditional color scheme man, so I don't get to go crazy with those fun colors that I see in stores during the holidays. But love using it in my scrapbook pages, and holiday cards. I paper pieced her hat and dress.
Than at JUGS, it was a challenge to use pure poppy, aqua mist and cream. Gotta say I love what they call their blog! Basic Grey's Eskimo kisses fit this color scheme. I switched out the aqua mist, and used cool Caribbean instead, because it matched a touch better. I kept it simple on the embellishments. I used my bow tier from Susana's Store. Love that thing!

Other supplies: pure poppy cardstock, cool Caribbean cardstock, stickles, SU punches, SU sentiment, nesties.

I decided the double sides of the blocks I made for Mrs. Day weren't decorated enough, so I added some more bling to it. I think it looks filled in better now on those two sides. I saw her at Target on Friday, and was telling her how excited I was to give it to her. Can't wait to see her expression on Monday! You can see my first take on it on the post below this one.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mary Grace

I've been busy scrapping this week. Taking advantage of Trey being home, and us having to stay put. I have gotten done a total of 5 double 12x12 layouts, so I'm pretty pleased with that. I ran out of tape today. I finished up my last page with glue, and called it quits. I had wanted to create a card, but with no tape, was out of luck! Not wanting to waste this time glued to the house, I worked on a project for Gabi's third grade teacher. She's expecting a little girl in Nov, and is naming her Mary Grace.

I had found these blocks at Michaels on clearance. I'm taking cheap! Barb would be jealous! I'm a Frugalista, too, like her! I think that's what the Target ad is saying lately. I was so excited about the price when I found the blocks, that I grabbed every set off the shelf! LOL! The buttons, primas, brads, scrappers floss, and stickles were from my stash. I grabbed the paper because I liked the colors better than the kid paper I had on hand. I grabbed the charms ages ago for another project, and didn't use them. The stamps are from a retired SU set. Isn't this just a darling baby gift?!

I made a set two years ago for Trey's male teacher in Kindergarten. He displays them in his room, which I think is very cool! Anyhow, so I spent the day making these and decorating them for her room! I made her teacher this gift last year, and she loved it, so I know she's gonna love this project, too! I can't wait to give it to her on Monday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo Balloons, and a Rollercoaster

I'm home with Trey this morning. Crossing fingers it's Croup over Swine Flu. The DR took forever to get thru this morning, and I know the place is gonna be slam packed busy this afternoon. Silver lining in this is that I had to stay home and stamp! LOL!
This is my take on the Mojo Monday Sketch.
It's also Pink Elephant's Fall challenge.
CCEE make a tall card!
And Kitchen Sink's challenge.
Love how this turned out. I don't do tall cards too often. And love the paper pieced balloons. And look at those acorn brads? I got those at Michael's. Aren't they the cutest?!
Supplies: Penelope TAC paper and ribbon, copics, DCWV cardstock, Palette ink pad, nesties, Verve stamps.
I even managed to get a scrapbook page done. I started last night, but was able to finish it this morning. It's been too long since I did one of those. I'm behind on them, so I'll probably be posting more of those in the coming weeks. This was of Gabi and her friend going on a big rollercoaster at Busch Gardens. Freaked her out! One of those priceless moments in childhood! I was even able to capture the photo of her waiting. It's grainy, but I love that I was able to snap it. This layout is from the Cherish book. I always say this, but I heart that book!

Sparkling Fuzzy Sunday

Paul's working on a Grand Opening team for a Chick-fil-A that is getting ready to open in our area, so I had some time to stamp today! (Little tidbit, this is the 14th anniv of when he proposed to me!) I made two cards today! I have three done from yesterday, but they're for another day. One of the cards I'm posting today is a sneak for a blog hop swap that I'm participating in with a few other blogging friends. So, keep your eyes out for that last this month. It's very cool, because we all have the same supplies, so neat to see how different each card will turn out.

Today's card is a fun winter card. It has my:
Pile It On challenge-sketch from a creative 10 year old named Aly.
Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge-been too long since I was able to play. Her challenge was to include a bird.
Rachel's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge-pulled the colors, and the bottom of the photo.
Just Us Girls-which was paper piece, and pink. I paper pieced the hat, dress, scarf, and one arm.

Than this fun fall card is from a kit from Tammi. This one of those where we send everyone the same papers, and two images. We make a card with it, and post them at a set time. Tammi decided she wanted to send a different kit afterward she sent us this kit. I made it today, cuz it was so cute! I love how the card turned out. I popped out my pumpkin and gloves. I got the layout from a card sitting on my desk from my good friend, Kim. It looked so perfect, I just went ahead and cased it!
Supplies: copics, nesties, Close to cocoa ink, going grey ink, primas, stickles, Basic Grey paper, PTI cardstock, pearls, fun flock, Fiskars punch, EK punch.
