Flutter By Wednesday #152, Recipe Challenge

Fun challenge for you all today at Flutter By Wednesday. It's a recipe challenge. You need to use two pattern papers, three flowers, and a button. Don't forget your fairy, angel or butterfly as well. I love how this card turned out. Sweet Tammi, from Tropical Dreams, sent me this image. I had a wonderful time coloring her. Afterwards, I thought it would be a perfect match for my Emma SWIC papers from TAC. I used SU cardstock, Cranberry Crisp, and So Saffron.

This sweetie is colored in copics, and topped off with stickles. I used an EK boarder punch, and nesties. The edges of the pattern papers were distressed and dusted with Cranberry Crisp ink. The flowers are from my stash.

I hope you play along! Make sure you link your card back up at Flutter By Wednesday, so we can pop by and see your artwork! Thanks for stopping by!

We have a great sponsor today, too! Just Some Lines is a great digital image . That cutie up top is from her! Isn't she darling?! I had a hard time figuring out what image I wanted to play with, because I thought all of them were so cute. I went with Flower Angel, because it made me think of Gabi. I followed the Friday Sketchers 146 sketch.

Okay, on to the reason I made this card! Today's challenge is Buttons and Bows at Flutter By Wednesday, and ya gotta have both on your card. That and a fairy, butterfly or angel on your card as well. Very easy challenge though, right?! Once you get your card done, make sure you link it back up at the Flutter By Wednesday blog. While you're there, check out the other wonderful designers. Flutter By Wednesday #147, Anything Goes

Time for an anything goes challenge at Flutter By Wednesday. Today's card is a simple one for me. I used a sticker from K and Co that I found at Michaels. I loved the bright colors of the butterfly, and had to have these stickers. I used a sentiment from Jessica's Butterfly Wishes stamp set. My sweet southern friend, Debbie, sent it to me as a surprise. Which was so cool, because I had been eyeing it for the longest time, and hadn't purchased it. Thanks a ton, Debbie! I was trying to follow a sketch off My Favorite Things, but somehow, got lost with it, and ended up off task! My papers are from a retired pack from TAC. I'm down to scraps now. It's SU cardstock and ink, nesties, and stickles.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all play along with us at Flutter By Wednesday. Just need to have an angel, butterfly or fairy on your card! Link up your card on the FBW blog, and while you're there take a peak at the fantastic work the design team has made!

Flutter By Wednesday #146, Carly's Sketch and Green.

Ready for a double challenge today from Flutter By Wednesday?! We have a wonderful sketch from Carly. She's a sweet, young lady, who makes some wonderful sketches! She even has a sketch challenge that she does twice a month! Be sure to check out her blog! We'd love for you to play along. Be sure to include a fairy, angel or butterfly on your card! Link it back up at the Flutter By Wednesday blog, and while you're there, check out what the other design team members created. Or click on their link to the right of my blog lists! You'll be happy you paid them a visit! As well as us having a wonderful sketch as a jumping off place, we have a second challenge you can also do, which is to use the color green. We know St. Patty's Day is coming, so bring out some green!

This sweet image is from Elisabeth Bell. I'm proud to say that it's also an image from my stash of images! Sweet Tammi sent me this one ages ago, and it's been neglected for too long! She was wonderful to color. I thought she was sold thru Whiff Of Joy, but not seeing it there. So, no idea what store carried this particular image.
I grabbed my Mariposa paper to make sure I had a butterfly on there. Made that mistake last week when I used a non-qualifying image and realized after I completed the card and uploaded it that I had totally forgotten my item with wings! Silly me! I also grabbed a Martha punch that had butterflies!
Thanks for stopping by!

Flutter By Wednesday #145, Photo Inspiration.

We have a great challenge today at Flutter By Wednesday. It's a bright fun photo. It just screams spring to me. I pulled out Chelsea's Closet paper pack again for this card. Thought the blues and yellows were perfect for this challenge. I papered pieced my sweet little Anya from The Greeting Farm's Miss Anya Love set , and added the flowers on top of it all. I had issues with my Sharpie paint pen. Sucker was dripping on me, and plopped a few times where it shouldn't have. I added some extra flowers to cover up two spots. I also added a white line around her dress. Doesn't she just look like Heidi up on the mountain top picking daises?

Such a fun challenge! I hope you'll play along today. Please link your card back up on the Flutter By Wednesday blog because we'd love to see your work too! You can get more design tips by clicking on the design teams names by clicking on their blogs listed on mine to the right.

Funny story about this card. I made it, posted to my blog to post today. Only after I was putting the details of what I used I realized, no butterflies, angels or fairies on my card! Oops! So glad to have punches to add things when we need them. Even helped hide one of those paint blots on the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Flutter By Wednesday #144, Robyn's Fetish

We had a fun sponsor today at Flutter By Wednesday, Robyn's Fetish. I picked sweet Christie Angel to play with, and I was not disappointed. It reminded me of my Mom and sister, who like to sew. Almost made me pull out my sewing machine, and attempt to sew. It was short lived, and the sewing machine didn't move off the floor. I'm sewing impaired. It's me too, because I lent it to a friend, who's mom was in town, and they were making cute costumes for some school function. I gave them a warning that I hadn't been able to get it to work right....well, they had no problems. Humph....so yea, it's me, and therefore the sucker sat on the floor untouched!

Back to my cute card, since it reminded me of sewing, I pulled out Chelsea's Closet paper pack that's been taking up space. It's got a few papers that have measuring tape on them, and thought it would look perfect with the image. I followed sketch 143 on Friday Sketchers. I popped out her angel wings, bow, pocket and little star.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you play along with us today at Flutter By Wednesday. Don't forget to link your card, and show off a butterfly, angel or fairy on your card! If you need more inspiration, be sure to check out the rest of the design team by clicking on their names to the right!
Supplies: copics, nesties, stickles, SU cardstock, Chelsea's closet paper and brads.

Flutter By Wednesday #142, Rainbows.

Today's challenge is to have a rainbow, or rainbow of colors at Flutter By Wednesday. Coarse, don't forget to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card. Be sure to check out what the other design team members made by clicking on their names to the right, or by going to the FBW blog.

My image is Spring Birgitta at All That's Scraps. Looks like she's being retired. The fence behind her is the Butterfly fence in the Swiss Pixie line. My paper pack is an older DCWV spring stack that I found on clearance a few years ago.
Finally used my Martha Stewart grass punch. I swear, when it first came out, I thought, oh, I don't need that. Than saw all these cool cards done with it, and HAD to have it. Only than, I couldn't find it any more at Micheals. Should add that I'm cheap, so I could find it online, but it was at full price, and I like my 40% off coupons. So, went crazy forever trying to get it at Michaels without any luck. Finally found it locally at a scrapbook store. Broke down and brought it. And now I'm just now finally using it! LOL! My neighbor is gonna make fun of me for this, because she was with me all the times I was trying to find it, and when I purchased it.
Hope you all play along with us at Flutter By Wednesday. Be sure to link your creation back up on the blog so we can come by and visit your blog!
Thanks for stopping by.

Flutter By Wednesday #141, Use Three Hearts.

Happy hump day! Today's challenge for Flutter By Wednesday is to use at least three hearts on your project. As always, don't forget to use a fairy, butterfly or angel on your card as well. You can see what the rest of the design team did by clicking on their names to the right on my blog, or by clicking HERE to get to the Flutter By Wed blog, and than to their blogs. You'll not be disappointed to see what they've created!

This card uses an image from my sweet friend, Debbie. She loves hearts! So, it's a perfect image from her. I would have used red, because she loves red too, but didn't have any red papers. This challenge is perfect for her, and I bet she'll just have to play along today!

My image is colored with copics, cut out with nesties, and topped with stickles. I followed sketch #139, from Friday Sketchers. I used Sultry papers from Basic Grey, SU cardstock Wild Wasabi , and Pixie Pink. Dusted the ends with Close to Cocoa.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you play along with us! Be sure to link your creation back on the Flutter By Wednesday blog!

Flutter By Wednesday #140, Anything Goes

Hello, everyone! Today is an open challenge at Flutter By Wednesday. Means you can do anything as long as you have a butterfly, angel or fairy on your card. Be sure to see what the rest of the design team came up. You can get to them by clicking on the Flutter By Wednesday blog, or from their blogs listed to the right of this post. I know they've all created something fantastic today too! We'd love for you to play along. Link your card back up to Flutter By Wednesday blog so we can come by and check out your artwork! Remember, it's an open challenge so just have to have a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card!

We have a wonderful sponsor today, Michelle Perkett. She's got some fantastic designs if you've not seen her work. You'll love what you see if you pop over to her blog. I had a hard time deciding what fairy to use for this challenge, because I liked them all! So pretty!

I have to say, I had a blast coloring this card. I heart this card! I think it turned out so pretty. Not being humble...lol, because really, I think it looks so good! I've never colored black hair before, so that was new for me. Not too shabby for a first try. She's my little raven beauty! And I love how her wings turned out! Can you tell I'm really pleased with this card?!

I also made the little rosette centers on the flowers from an old pack of flowers that lost their shape that went with my paper pack, Sabrina. That pack of paper is about 3 years old, and the paper flowers didn't keep the groove shape of the flower. So, I cut them, rolled them, than glued them to a small prima flowers, and finally topped them with stickles.

I followed the sketch off The Sweet Stop, SSS93. Love the crisp lines of the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies: SU cardstock, Sabrina paper pack, primas, stickles, copics, Reflections pearls, and gems.

Flutter By Wednesday #139

Today's a fun challenge for Flutter By Wednesday! White on white, only color is your image! I can't wait to see what the other Flutter By Wed. team members came up with! You can view their blogs by heading to the Flutter By Wednesday blog, or click on their blogs listed to the right hand side of my blog. We would love to see what you've created too! To play along, make your card white, add a fairy, angel or butterfly and link it back on the Flutter By Wednesday blog.

That's a hard challenge for me! I always seem to use pattern paper, and a ton of colors on my cards! I went with Sweet Sugar Angel from All That's Scraps on my card, cuz they look good in white, right? I grabbed her with the gift card from my MIL from Christmas. I created the sentiment by following some directions Tammi gave me. It was my first attempt at using Photo Shop to create the sentiment, wish I'd made it a little bigger. I followed the Mojo Monday Sketch #172.
Supplies: PTI White cardstock, Pearl Glimmer mist, copics, nesties, stickles, CB embossing folder, All That's Scraps image.

Flutterby Wednesday #137, Sketch By Carly.

Today's Flutter By Wednesday challenge is a great sketch by Carly. She's got some great sketches on her blog, so make sure you check her out! Head to the Flutter By Wednesday to see what the other Fluttering team members came up with! Or click on their names to the right side of my blog! You'll be happy to see what they've made too! We hope you play along as well. Follow the sketch, make sure to include a fairy, butterfly, or angel on card and link it back on the Flutter By Wednesday blog. We look forward to seeing your creations!

I have to say, I'm so excited with how this card turned out! My MIL had given me a gift card to All That's Scraps for Christmas and I've been eyeing Coriander for the longest time! I grabbed her and so glad I did. She's so much fun to color. I love how she's sitting! I paper pieced her in an odd manner. I found Glimmer Mist Crown Jewels at AC Moore. I sprayed her wings in pearl, and her dress in Black Cherry. Than on a third image, I layered the wings first on the third image, colored her hair and body in copics cut them out, layered them on the image, than put her outfit on top of that layer. The paper is Genevieve which is a retired pack from TAC. Sadly, I only have scraps left now. And check out her green hair! So happy with that, cuz that's so hard for me to pull off! I even sprayed the magenta flowers in glimmer mist. They were white to begin with. Than she's topped of with stickles and so are my flowers. I embossed the center oval after cutting it out with my nestie. The sentiment is from Pink Cat Studio's Fairy set.
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to play along!
