Well, sad post today. I had to make a sympathy card for my Mom. My Dad passed away on Friday. He's had bad health for years, and seemed to always be fighting some odd aliment. He's in a better place now, but still sad for those left behind. (The card I had made about two weeks ago with the balloon and blue skies was for him, as he was having strange fevers and kidney problems they couldn't figure out.) My Mom has spent years helping care for him as his body turned on him, so I'm sure the void she'll feel will be hard to fill. I can safely say I'm a Daddy's Girl. I know he enriched my life, and taught me profound life lessons thru his life.
I used Peace With In from SU. Such a calm set. She raised birds, so I thought she'd enjoy the bird image. I try to keep it soft with my color choice. I added a touch of stickles, well, cuz it's hard not to add bling. I hope it still keeps the card peaceful and calm. I live out of state from them, so I'm having to send thoughts across the miles until I can be there in person. I used the
Card Patterns sketch 78 for my sketch.
