Warm Fluttering.

Had some time to create yesterday. We got back in town on Wed night from my Dad's Memorial Service to Earl heading our way. Packed up the back yard and got prepared for him to blow our way. Appears to have blown out to sea with only dumping a little rain our way. Meet the kids teachers yesterday, our school starts on Tuesday, and am so happy with their classrooms this year. They both have some wonderful kids in their classes, and Trey's teacher is one of my favorites so I'm very excited about the coming year at school!
I had to play along with Flutterby Wed. They had a sketch by Mercy, and I do love sketches! Danni and her team are having a big birthday bash, so make sure you pop over there and take a peak at what they are up too. I pull out my Mariposa paper from DCWV. Had some scraps left over from the book marks I made, and some canisters I redid for the kitchen. I wish I would have taken a before photo of them. They were done in a vintage tea theme, off white, and brown ink on them. I used a sweet Elisabeth Bell image from Susana's store. I'm sending this to my Mom. I'm sure as the house has quieted down from guests coming to the service, she'll have too much time to think about stuff. She breeds birds, so I'm hoping she'll like the cages on the paper.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Emma!

Goodness, okay, I'm so pleased with this card! How cute did it turn out?! I combined a lot of challenges on this one. Lost is coming on in a few so I need to post and run!
Mojo Monday Sketch.
Try It Out Tuesday- Embossing. My little blue panels are embossed. As is my scallop oval, but it's hiding, too.

Crazy 4 Challenges recipe card-1 ribbon, 2 buttons-just realized I used three, and three punches.
All Sorts- Petals and Pearls. Don't know if you can see the anklet, or her flipflops well. Both have pearls on them.
Pink Elephant recipe- 1 image, 2 dies, 3 favorite embellies.
Cupcake Craft Challenge- Childhood memories. We had a cat, named Pepper, who I adored. This sweet image from Susana's store reminds me of Gabi, wearing flip flops, and being a total girl.

Tuesday Morning Sketch- soft hues, flowers and ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies: Basic Grey paper, Emma, nesties, baja breeze cardstock, and ink, so glad it's coming back, primas, pearls, stickles, copics.

Sapphire Flutterby

I jumped at the opportunity when Danni asked me to be a guest designer for her month long celebration. I discovered her blog about a year go from my friend, Kim. She had a ton of information on her blog, challenges, more online stores, and lots of other blogs to peak at. For the longest time, I would look at the Flutterby Challenge on Wed, but didn't really have a lot of butterfly stamps. Slowly, I would find myself looking at stamps of butterflies just to play along. Than she opened it to fairies as well! I was over joyed! I started playing along regularly, and it's one of my weekly favorite challenges!
This week's challenge keeping with the September theme was to use sapphires. I tried to pull in the color blue, blue flowers, and gems. For my card for her today, I used a stamp named just for her from Elisabeth Bell at Susana's store, which I received as blog candy from Danni. I used my TAC paper line called Lily Anna. I paper pieced her outfit, so her pants look like cords with the textured cardstock. She's colored with copics, covered her wings with angel wings shimmerz, and added a touch of stickles. I followed a layout on A Spoon Full of Sugar.

Other supplies: nesties, pacific blue, TAC sentiment, MS punch, Reflections gems, scrappers floss, primas.

Thanks for stopping by! Thanks, Danni, for asking me to do this! It meant a lot to me!
