Wicked Fairy

I'm having a terrible time with the photo today. It's very cloudy out and the colors aren't coming out right on my photo. Bummer! Today I just had to play Barb's Macabre Monday. It was wicked winged things! How fun is that? A haunted fairy! I also did the Mojo Monday sketch for the week. Plus, this is Pile It On circles challenge. Lucky me, ABC's challenge for the week was also circles.
I had a blast making this card. I started with some retired paper from TAC that has circles on it. I grabbed a few stamp sets that have been sitting around. Don't tell hubby about that part! The two stamps on the right I got on clearance from Target awhile back. I grabbed a new bat punch from EK from Joann's the other day. It was on sale. I added shimmer to her hair, wings, the bats, and grave yard. A touch of stickles, and just realized I had planned to put it on her flower in her hair and forgot. I'll add that later. But what a fun card for the day!

Supplies: EK punch, SU word punches and corner punch, TAC Twill ribbon, copics, SU Elegant Eggplant, More mustard, cameo coral ink, Elegant eggplant cardstock, PTI black, scrappers floss.

Shimmer Cupcake

I was thrilled when Rachel emailed me to be one of her Guest Sweeties for her Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. She hosts it every Sunday. I've been playing for a few months and have had a wonderful time making cards from her photographs of cupcakes that she gives for inspiration. You should check it out, if you haven't yet, and play along. I promise you'll enjoy it and not gain a pound with the lovely cupcakes you'll be drooling over!
When I saw the challenge this week, I just knew I wanted to use this cupcake set from Inkadinkado, which she carries in her store. How cute is that cupcake?!
I couldn't make up my mind which way to go on the cupcake. One hand I loved the color combo, and the simple look of the cupcakes. On the other hand, I was digging the cherry on top, and wanted to use some paper that had cherries in it.
This card is made with the color combo of the cupcakes. You might still get to see a card with some cherry paper! I used my cuttlebug to dry emboss the top of my card, like how the frosting is on the cupcakes. I used my Sakara Gelly Roll Stardust pen to color the top of my cupcake and to add more bling around the swirls. I had sprayed the white sheet with Glimmer mist before I embossed it. I cut everything out with my nesties, and layer it up. Than I added more bling around my cupcake. I liked how the swirls were on this Zva Create set. I thought the swirls would added a perfect touch of bling to the corners of the base nestie. Than I added the single gems around my scallop, and on parts of my cupcake, and sentiment. I love how the gems look!

Thanks for asking me to be a Guest Sweetie, Rachel and Michelle! I had a great time playing! Make sure you check out the Sweeties to see what they made!

Supplies: PTI cardstock, SU punch windows, Inkadinkado cupcake set, Zva Create, glimmer mist, nesties, riding hood red ink, TAC sentiment

Sunshiney Days

I made this for a friend's birthday coming up this weekend. She's had a lot of changes in her life this past year. Some good, some not so good, and difficult to process. So, I thought this sentiment would be perfect for her for her new year of new things!
I did the Just Magnolia challenge on this, but I can't tie a bow to save my life! So, I got ribbon on there in three places, but no official bows. I did the sketch challenge from Stamps and Smiles. Not used to a big area of space lately, but I think it works very well on this sketch. It was hard not to find more things to fill it in when I was working on it, but when I put this Zva Create flourish on it from Rachel's store, I thought it was the perfect touch. It still showed off my pattern paper from Cosmo Cricket, which I also got from her store. I found this Magnolia stamp a little harder to paper piece than I expected. The basket with the loose flowers threw me. I added the flower soft to kinda hide that area a little! Makes for a perfect cover up! LOL!

Supplies: Riding hood red, so saffron cardstock, stickles, primas, Amy R Beach Sentiments, Magnolia, nesties, copics, flower soft

So Not A Holiday Card.

Okay, well, this started as a holiday card for me for my regular Sunday Challenge on Sparkle's blog. Seems like Sunday's have been busy for the last few weeks, so I'm getting them done later in the week. Since it was a fairy image on my card, it was also my Flutterby Wed challenge card, which was to use a favorite quote. I love this quote in TAC's Dream set.
Mine and Paul's wedding theme was castles, so we had the song being sung by Cinderella "A Dream" when we entered our wedding reception. So, it has a special place for me when I see it because it makes me think of Paulie. However, that quote totally changed the direction of my card! It's so not a holiday card any more! Still so cute though!
Anyhow, this is my Cupcake Inspiration Card. I was moved by the blue and red in the cupcakes. Also, being balloons on the cupcakes, I had to have something in the sky. I don't have alot of things in the sky! Decided I want a Santa in a hot air balloon stamp.
This is also my Pile It On Challenge- Good things come in threes. Three pearls in a row, three types of glitter, three types of punches/nesties, three scrapping floss, three inks to make my sky behind my cute fairy.
Pink Elephant's sketch for the week.
Whimsy Stamp Challenge-Some Bling, I have glitter, pearls, and fun flock with glitter on my cloud.
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge was to use pearls.

Supplies: Copics, Martha glitter, DCWV Christmas stack, Martha punch, scappers floss, TAC sentiment, PTI cardstocks, nesties, SU Baja blue, ballet blue, bordering blue inks.

Hip To Be Square!

This card was so much fun to make! I just got this owl set from TAC this past Friday. As soon as I saw it was a square card on Mojo Monday, I had to grab it! I don't normally use owls too often. I was having computer problems when I was making the card, so I was going by memory of the sketch. I see I flipped two elements around, the square and circle under the owl. I also got this paper pack, Winchester, in my TAC order. I paper pieced his little bottom, and added stickles to the wings. By accident, a dew drop fell on his eyes, so I had to go ahead and add them. It looks perfect on there!

Other supplies: SU blue bayou, PTI ripe avocado, primas, brown scrappers floss, dew drops, SU close to choco ink, ribbon TAC, copics, stickles.

Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, look at how big Maxwell is getting. Snapped a photo of him the other day, as he gets to start puppy training classes this week! Should be a fun time for him and Momma.

Taking Time Magnolia!

Sheesh, I started this card on Friday. Had it colored, parts cut out, and than went to work on it again last night, unable to complete it again...why? Not sure, except Maxwell, the puppy, wanted to stay downstairs, and everyone had gone to bed, so I didn't want to leave him alone. So, just now finishing this card! Good gravy! That's the longest it's ever taken me to finish a card! LOL!
Anyways, this is my take on the Just Magnolia challenge from Friday. I used Basic Grey's Ava paper line. Such pretty colors! I colored her with copics, slapped her on rich razzleberry cardstock, and topped her off with stickles. I have one complaint about my card. She's not straight, her feet aren't flat. Didn't notice it until my card was just about done!

Oh, I used a new sentiment I got from TAC this week. My first order from the new catty arrived. Double Hostess awards is going on now until the end of Sept, and Sept 1 releases the new supplement, and it's got some cute new fun stuff in there. The sentiment is from a gift with purchase set in the base catty. It's so pretty, and the perfect size! I can tell that sets gonna be a favorite of mine to use. They are 2.95 with a 30 dollar order, but it has 5 sentiments with it. In that nice pretty font! Got the new Mimi paper in too! Can't wait to play with it!

Other supplies: purple scrappers floss, SU word punch, nesties, dew drops, rich razzleberry ink, plum cardstock, and PTI cardstock.

A Warm Hello

Man, this card turned out so cute! So happy and bright! Gotta love that! I got this image from Tammi ages ago. I'm thinking it's a Hangler, but I'm not as familiar with them to know for sure. I decided to stamp first today, after vacuuming. Have to tackle a few other rooms in the house, but thought I earned some free time this morning.
This is my take on the Mojo Monday sketch from Sarah. I had cut out the image when I realized I had meant to make it an oval to work better with the layout. I tried to create the visual focal point in the center by putting flower soft in his basket. Thought of my little guy bring flowers home to momma!

This card also covers some more challenges.
Pile it on, For the Boys.
Spoon Full of Sugar-Travel.
Not sure if it covers Transportation from Three Clovers..cuz it's not a motor bike.
Pink Elephant's challenge is Summer.
Cute Card Thurday's Lazy Days.
Stamp Something's Vacation theme. Love pulling out those bikes on vacations at the beach.
Supplies: June Bug Paper, Pure Poppy PTI cardstock, flowersoft, copics, nesties, dew drops, paper glaze,

Purple Suede Shoes

Finally had time to stamp something. Been a busy week with dance camp for Gabi, and cleaning out the house. So instead of stamping, I've been cleaning, and running around town. The other day my sweet friend, Tammi, sent me some fun darling images, and this was one of them. After seeing the beautiful cupcake on Rachel's blog for her Cupcake Inspiration challenge, I used this cutie, because I wanted to have the stripes different shades like the flowers in the cupcake. I used the Mojo Monday Sketch from Wed designed by Teresa. Along with my flowers, I added fun flock and glitter to her boots, and topped her with stickles. I also added some ribbons for Whimsy Stamp Challenge. One is kinda hiding under the flower to the right.

Than a quick fun photo of one of my cats, and Gabi. I found them like this twice this week in the bonus room. Gabi's ladder came loose so she slept in there. Blondie decided it was a perfect place as well, and took up like the whole full sized bed from Gabi. I have no idea how Gabi was still sleeping half way hanging off the bed.
Other supplies: Primas, copics, SU Rich Razzleberry cardstock, and ink, Martha Punch, EK punch, scrappers floss.

Fluttery Christmas Fairy

Finally sat down to try my challenges from Sunday. I wasn't able to play on Sunday, and can't remember why! This is my take on Rachel's Inspiration Cupcake Challenge. I loved the colors of her cupcakes this week. I also liked the white flowers on a few of them, and the touch of yellow. I also played Sparkle's sketch Christmas Challenge. Today being Wed, I went with a fairy because it's Flutterby Wed as well. Ended up with a very non-traditional Christmas card! My pattern paper is from the Holiday stack by DCWV, the cardstock is Pink Pirqu. by SU. Colored with copics, added some stickles, and shimmerz. I embossed my white layer under the fairy cut out by nesties, and brushed it with the Versamark Frost.

Love and Laughter

Not a catchy title today. Been one of those off kinda days. Trey was a touch difficult this morning. Daddy spent a good amount of the morning fussing at him. So we headed on a shopping trip, where he picked his lunch and than refused to eat it, nothing more fun than making a seven year old eat! Needless to say, we didn't buy anything, and went home early.
Than started to stamp to kinda wind down some, and the dog pooped on the carpet, again! Twice in the last two days. Sigh! Waiting for him to finally get it! If it's not number two, it's number one, and we have been accident free on that for a few days. How do you get dogs to tell you they have to go?! This seems to be our lacking in the training dept. I have to say, stamping relaxes me, and it's not very relaxing when you have to stop and steam clean the carpet! Well, enough grumbling!
I pulled off a few challenges on this card today. I'm still wanting to do my normal Sunday Challenges. Maybe later tonight I can sit down and do those.
This is the Cupcake Craft Challenge. It had a layout and a color combo. Missed the detail on the combo on that until after I was done. Luckily, my other challenge was about the same colors! I used my scorpal to create lines instead of the ribbons on my card. Gotta brag, they picked me last week as one of their top fives! It's also Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge, which was score it. I scored a few lines on two sections of my card. I think that's a very pretty effect on a card. For CCEE Stampers, use trees and flowers. Pink Elephant had a color combo challenge. Pile it on was to use no pattern paper.
I did the rock and roll technique on this card. I also dabbed Versamark Dazzling around the edges, which gives it a shimmery effect, but it's not showing up in the photo. I stamped off Script background stamp from TAC in Taken with Teal on the tree image, but it's also a soft effect on the card. Other supplies: SU Craft, choco chip, taken with teal cardstock, taken with teal, and choco chip ink, scorpal, TAC Love and Laughter set, script stamp, nesties, primas.

Sitting Pretty!

Whew, been a busy week for me. Gabi had dance camp this week, and a trip to a local water park yesterday. So, we've been out a lot this week. First time sitting down to stamp I think since like Tuesday. Anyhow, enough rambling, on to the crafting...
Here's my card for Just Magnolia, which was a sketch! I also combined it with a few more challenges. Cute Card Thursday was to use red and teal. My papers are Green from DCWV. I also did Stamp Simply, which was to make a friend card, used a friend sentiment on the front of the card. Hard for me to pull off sometimes. I never seem to leave enough room for sentiments. Stamp Something Challenge was to use a charm. I have a fun starfish one on the corner of the card with the flowers.

Supplies:copics, primas, charm, TAC Tag Tidbits sentiment, SU taken with teal ink, stickles, scrappers floss.

Whooooly Night!

A little late in posting tonight. Started this card earlier today, but than we headed out for some school shopping. Ended up gone all day picking up stuff for the kids, and Paul. I found a few good deals for myself on two shirts 70% off, but mostly it wasn't a cheap day. Kids cost a lot! LOL! On to the crafting!

This is a triple play card! It's my usual Sunday routine to make a holiday card now. So, that means I popped over to Sparkle's blog to see what challenge she had for us! Today it was take something from her card. I took two things, the snowflake stickers, and ornaments on my papers. Lately, I've been playing along with Rachel's Cupcake Inspiration challenge. I've made her top five a few times, so that totally makes me want to play more often! Today was a fun one! Owls were on her cupcakes! So, ya, the whoooly night title, get it, like whoooo from an owl. Isn't that what they say? Sadly, I've had this owl set since I had Debbie as my Lostie Secret Sister. Cuz they became her trade mark on the thread. I had the set to make her stuff, and ended up not making stuff with it. And that was over two years ago! How nice that Rachel put up a challenge that made me pull out my stamp set?! LOL! Than finally, my first time playing at Winder Wonderland. It's was a sketch challenge over there today, so the sketch is totally from them.

My hat is cut out, and covered in Martha glittler, and fun flock with glitter added to it. Hard to get a good photo at night. Sorry for the bad photo. I colored the image with copics. SU Cranberry Crisp, Regal Rose cardstock, SU word punch windows, nesties, Regal Rose ink, PTI black,

Anya's Cheery on Top Blog Hop!

I'm so excited to show off what I created for the blog hop! I literally threw a party after I made all my little projects! After signing up, I started to think about Anya's birthday bash and wondered what is a perfect theme for someone turning one?
I thought a zoo theme was perfect! Then I realized I have my own zoo in my house already! My house has been taken over by Webkinz! My kids adore Webkinz and I had been wanting to scrap them a page about it for awhile. From there, I decide we're gonna throw a party!
I used Wild Things stamp set to create the zoo party theme! Now, you'll be a guest at our party with the furry Webkinz friends, showcasing this adorable stamp set from The Greeting Farm while we celebrate Anya turning one! Make sure you check Club Anya and The Greeting Farm for the full list of Hoppers today!

What party isn't complete without a lovely cupcake? We had two big, beautiful cupcakes on hand. Zero calories to enjoy this cupcake too! The cupcake is provided from a very neat Cupcake Box Template by Keileigh Ratzlaff. This was my perfect center piece, and topped off with a cheerful animal on top! This perfect cupcake sparkles with it's sprinkles!

Than a party has to have games! We have Tic Tac Toe, Three Monkey's in a row! I made the game for them, and all the animals were happy to get a chance to play! I even laminated it for years of playing with both the animals from the party, and my two old animals! I think this will be a perfect item to take to restaurants!

We gave them each some lovely party gifts. As amazing as this is, Webkinz love certain types of candy. And yes, you guess it, while shopping for school supplies the other day, we went into the candy isle to grab some of their favorite treats! Lucky for me, they love liquorish! Another fun party gift was a fab bookmark for each attendant! Complete with their names! I also laminated them, so they'd not get torn up while they enjoy reading to their little furry friends who can't read yet!
We made an extra set of the goodies, because Gabi was so excited about it all, she told her best friend, and her best friend wanted a set!

As you can see, all the party guests had a wonderful time! I hope you enjoyed yourself at our little party today! Please come back and visit with us very soon! I'd wait until all the animals come off their sugar high!
