Oh, so nice!

Goodness, there's a new Magnolia Challenge Blog, and I just discovered it today. Had to play along even though this is my second post in the last few hours! So glad I played too! I'm so happy with how this card turned out! I don't normally use these colors or distress too often. They have a tutorial up on it, so I tried some of her techniques, and was super happy with the results! I got this stamp from Sparkle, and thought she'd work perfectly for the challenge. Thanks so much for the extra goodies in my package, Sparkle! Distressing kinda makes me think of fall, and with the heat just kicking in for the summer, I'm already wishing it was fall! I sprayed glimmer mist all over the back layers of the card, but it's not showing up so well in the photograph.

I'm so excited too! For the first time, I've reach 2000 hits in one month! I made it barely tonight! I'm so excited about that, and honored that people stop by to peak at my blog! I'm closing in on 5000, too, hopefully next week! So excited about that! I just started my blog back in Oct, and added a counter the last weekend in March! It really means a lot to me when people stop by! So, thank you so much for doing that!

Supplies: nesties, K and Co paper pack, Cardstocks-Creamy Caramel, Kiwi Kiss, inks: close to cocoa, chocochip, copics-Bs-93, 95, 97, 00, YG-63, 95, 67, 91, E-35,43,00, 000, 11, 93, W1, G-94, GB10, MS punch, dew drops, crystal effects, prima

Got the AX!

Well, not really the AX-I stay at home with the kids. Sometimes that's a job you wish you could get fired from! LOL!
Anyhow, I had made the projects listed below back in Oct, than sent them in for samples for the new TAC catty. They didn't make the cut-hence the AX title. Boo hoo! So sad for me! I know from being published in there last year, how exciting it is to have your cards published, so I'm happy for all the demos that did make it into the new catty. TAC sent out a design call listing stamps and papers together. They also included some sketches that we could follow if we wanted too. All of mine followed a sketch from them.
This scrapbook page of Trey combined two of my TAC favorites, Mimi paper pack, and Life is Short stamp set. I also used Spring Time to stamp the swirls on the background. This was Trey's first day of First Grade!
This one turned out super pretty. Not my normal style, but I loved the end result. This set was retired with this catty release. One of my favorite holiday stamp sets. This is Reece paper line, and Holiday Magic stamp set. I had heat embossed gold embossing powder, and lightly spounged around it with Haystack Palette ink pad.
I loved how this card turned out. This uses Pop Rockz and Spring Time stamp set. It also uses script background stamp. The Palette ink pad is Bordeaux. Such a fun color to use!
This paper is called Caitlyn, and it uses one of my favorite stamps, Gerbera Daisy. I wasn't overly happy with this card though. For some reason, I couldn't get the groove on this card.
This card using Perky Penguins, and Reese Paper pack. I cut out parts of my penguin, added stickles to tree, fun flock to his hat, and added some for snow at the bottom of his feet.
This is Pop Rockz paper and Build a flower stamp set. This was Gabi's first day of Third Grade. The girl loves some pink and bling! Her clothes went so well with the paper. I also thought I did a great job keeping the page tame considering her clothes, and the patterns on the papers. That paper line has some fun colors, and patterns!
Thanks for stopping by! The TAC catty is live tomorrow! Some cute new stamps in the catty this year! And better yet, one of my most favorite people in the world made the cover and back cover of the catty! I was so excited for her when saw it! Such a cute cards!

Polka Dotted Mojo Monday

Good afternoon! All done with t-ball games! Had such a fun time watch Trey play! His team came in second, and they were undefeated until yesterday, and lost two games in the challenge game. We had beat the team at 2, but than lost back to back at 5:30 and the game afterwards. But they played so well! And he so made his Momma proud! I'm missing cheering from the stands, and I have to wait until the fall!

But that opened up my morning for a few challenges. Did two on this card. The Mojo Monday sketch, and The Greeting Farm Fresh Friday, which was polka dots. So, there's dots on four of my papers, flower, brad, ribbon, and even the buttons! The buttons are from Michael's and are an accessories to the paper line Sabrina, which has been clearanced. Oh, and even my image has dots!
I added shimmerz to her basket and eyeshadow. Some stickles top off my flowers. The basket and flowers were cut out, and layered on the image. Her bangs were cut out and popped out.
Other supplies: SU Pretty in Pink cardstock, copics, nesties, SU new word punch window, TAC retired sentiment, primas, Q and CO brad, scrappers floss, Greeting Farm image.

Copics:Skin E000, E00, E11, E93, clothes- RV000, RV10, hair-Y02, Y11, Y00, basket-C5, C3. RV34, YG63, outline-C1

TAC Giveaway

Quick post before heading to T-Ball. Trey's playing a tournament. He had two games yesterday, and up to three depending on how his team plays. We have a hard game at 2, so thinking we'll be playing three not two games today! But wanted to get the name drawing done. I put everyone name in a little pile all folded up, and had Gabi draw a name. The winner is Patti J! Woo hoo, Patti! Email me your address, please! Thanks to everyone posting links for me, and stopping by!

Maybe someone can help me with this. I'm not sure if this is something I've done, or if it's a new blogger thing...but my photos show the computer lingo, not the photo now in my posts unless I hit preveiw. Have I done something funky to my blog? Can someone help me undo this?! Or is everyone's showing that lately>

The Angel Company Stamp Giveaway

Trying to keep this at the top for the week. Please scroll down for newer posts.

In honor of TAC new catty being released this month, I had to clean out some of my stamps! I can't tell you how many stamp sets are in this bag! I have retired sets as well as some current sets in this bag! These are just sets I hardly used, or have used so much, I've worn out my mojo with them, and time to let someone else love them! So, I'm giving them away instead of trying to sell them. Some may not have been used, all are mounted, and trimmed out.
I know I put in there from the current catties-beautiful day, playful parenthesis, build a flower, butterfly bits, running stitches, and can't remember what else. Perfect bag for new TAC demos, or ones with a large customer base to pass along as hostess awards. Or for one savvy minded person who wants to try to sell them. There is one wooden stamp in there, because it matched a set I had.

In order to be entered into this drawing, I ask that you reside in the US, post a link to this on your blog, and come back here, leaving a message for me on this post with your link in your comment back to me. I will ship to any where in the US for free. I'm sorry, but I will not be able to ship overseas for free. I will leave it open for comments until Sat.6/27 at 9PM. I'll do a drawing on Sunday 6/28 to select a winner. Thanks!

Friday Lady

Whoops! I hit something and posted this blank! How funny!

I got this stamp from Sparkle last week when she was selling off some stamps. I'd been eyeing her, but didn't grab her, so it was perfect timiing when she had it up for grabs! What a sweet little lady! The sketch is the Just Magnolia challenge this week. The paper is from K and Co, Brenda Walton I think. PTI Ocean Tides cardstock, SU Razzleberry cardstock and ink. Martha punch, and nesties to cut things out. Colored her with some copics, and added some primas I had floating around. I topped off with some stickles, but they're not showing up well in the photos. Took a hint from Kim, and watched a video by Amy R on trimming out images. I think that helped a lot! Totally loving how this turned out!
Copics: Skin-Eooo, Eoo, E93, E11, clothes-RV000, RV34, R85, hair-E35, E33.

Thanks for stopping by.
Don't forget, tomorrow is the cut off for the TAC Grab Bag of stamps up for grabs! Click HERE for more information about that.

Peak-a-Moose

Kinda digging the kids being out of school. Able to stamp a little more often and not get distracted. This is my second challenge, and card for the day! Outside of the referring from fights between them, I've been able to do laundry and stamp! Nothing sweeter than the sounds of children screaming, right?! LOL! Anyhow, one of Gabi's dance instructors is having a little boy in Aug. I saw a new challenge to me on the Daily Dare site, and it was a sketch challenge for MTF, so I jumped in! Pulled out an image my friend, Kim from Sunshine Days, sent me, cuz they sell that cute moose line. Since it has a baby, meant I got my baby card done too!
Supplies:Kooh-i-nor pencils, Basic Grey two scoops, Wild Wasabi, brocade blue cardstock, primas, stickles, nesties.
Thanks for stopping by!

Cute Card Thursday

Another challenge card for me. This one is from Cute Card Thursday, and the challenge was to use wheels on the card. I grabbed an image from an image swap forever ago. I used a paper pack from TAC called Uptown Girl. Such a fun girly paper line. I used colored pencils, and was really missing my copics on this one! I was having a hard time blending them! Been so long since I used them, I think they were on strike! I layered the car in shimmerz, and gave her some diamond rim caps! Other supplies: SU Pure Pom cardstock, PTI black, Q and Co brads, primas, nesties, SU Loads of Love Accessories stamp.
Thanks for stopping by.
Don't forget, I've got a bag full of TAC stamps for a give away! Lots of stamps in there! Gotta make room for a new catty coming out this weekend! Please click HERE to enter to win.

Double Wed

I did a double challenge today. This is a Whiff of Joy Sketch Challenge, and Flutteryby Wed challenge, which was to use a fairy/butterfly in an outdoor setting or theme with the card. Musing Melinda sorta fit my mood this morning, so I had to go with her. Than I debated what to put her on, and thought the bench would work perfectly considering the theme at Flutterby. I'm not good with grass with the copics, so not digging that part of the card. I used Basic Grey Mellow paper pack, and SU Bordering blue cardstock. I used Martha Stewart punch, nestise and the new SU word punch window. The stickles and liquid pearls are still wet in the card. My image is colored with copics, and the flowers are primas.
Copics: Skin-Eooo, Eoo, E11. E93, clothes-R46. YG63. Y38, wings-RV000, hair-E35, 33, bench-E71. grass-G21, BG93, outline-B00

Mojo Monday is a Sweet Friend

Here's my card for the Mojo Monday sketch for the week. This is also my second card for the day, so please scroll down to see a super cute Lily card!
I think I'm head of heals in love with these sketch challenges! It's all Kim's fault, because she's forever doing them, and I thought she always made such cute things, I had to try it out too! She knows its her fault too, and she just giggles when I tell her! I think she likes having an other addict on board with her! I covered the image in shimmerz, I meant to do dazzling diamond dust, but had taped it to the black part when I remember that was what I had planned to do. I did the rock and roll technique on this one. I haven't used this set in forever, and I thought it went perfectly with the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies: SU cardstock rich razzleberry, melon mambo, upsy daisy, brads, shimmerz, WOJ sentiment and nesties. Wow, no copics on this one!

Don't forget, I got some TAC stamps up for grabs! Whole lot of them in this bag! Make sure you check it out! Click on that sentence to take to you to the post!

Shimmery Lily Try it out Tuesday

My friend, Kim, told me about a challenge the other day, and told me to try it. It was the Try It Out Tuesdays at Follow Your Heart. That was several days ago, but I finally got my card done last night. I went around surfing in her store and saw they had Pink Cat Studio stamps, so I grabbed my Beach Lily set. Gotta say, I'm so happy I grabbed that stack from Me and My Big Ideas! I'm loving that stack. Full of some wonderful summer papers! I love how this card turn out! I'm totally digging these colors!
Supplies used: Lily at the Beach, Me&MBI paper pack, Cool Carr, and soft sky cardstock, Cool Carr ink pad, copics, shimmerz, stickles, primas.

Beautiful Light

Man, Elzybells had this kit up two weeks ago, and I got one. Fast shipping too, ordered on Sat, and had it by Wed or Thursday. That's coming across the pond too! Anyhow, the kit had a bunch of Christmas stamps, one was this light. That light is so pretty! Not sure I can do it justice! (She added another kit last week, and yea, I got it too! I'm thinking I need to avoid her site this week, in case she added another one!) So, I pulled out the light for my card for Sparkle's Christmas Challenge. It's a layout this week too! I'm loving layouts lately! I added some shimmerz to the lamp and one flower, stickles to the candle. I had grabbed the brads on clearance at Target. The paper is from DCWV, Christmas stack from last year.

Other supplies: nesties, ribbon, SU Ruby Red cardstock, PTI black, copics. Copics: C1, C3, C5, R59, R27, G5, G7, G28, Y00, Y02, Y6, Y8, YR23.

Friday Summer

Today is two challenges in one. I played the Friday Sketcher's challenge, and the Just Magnolia Summer Challenge. I didn't have any summer images or Magnolia stamps, so I used my stamp from Chasing Butterflies, and some new paper I grabbed, and made her look summery. I think she looks darling in orange! Such a fun thing to color. My friend, Debbie, left the shoes white on her card not to long ago, and I thought it was super cute, so I left mine white too.
Thanks for stopping by.

Kim sent me a few to play with-thanks a ton, chickie!! Dangerous! UGH! Loved them! Had to whip up another card with one! That's four cards in one day! Woo hoo for me! I did Amy R's sketch from Friday. A bit late! And today's Cute Card Thursday is Tag your it. So, I got a cute little tag on there with a Hero's Art sentiment! Flutterby Genevieve

Play Flutterby Wed today from Danni's blog. Seems like awhile since I've played that one. Grabbed my TAC set called Beauty and my Genevieve paper pack. The cardstock is Retired Purely Pom from SU. I used a new EK punch, that also punched out itty bitty flowers, so I added them to the card too. Other supplies: stickles, ribbon, and copics. Copics:BG01, B02, BG05, G85, G94, V15, V17. Vooo.

I just realized this weekend is Father's Day, so I need to pop out a few FD cards! Quickly too!
Last nights All Stars game went well. They won 23 to 3. Tonight's team will be harder to beat. Trey was so excited about it today that he got dressed again in his uniform. Yea, it was dirty from last night, and wearing it all day yesterday! But impossible to get it off him today! I wasn't able to snap a lot of photos last night, so I clicked one today. Doesn't he look so happy and cute?! So proud of himself!

Magnolia Madness

It's Monday Madness time. Today they had another fun sketch. I used a Magnolia stamp I had gotten a couple weeks ago and hadn't inked. I know, some of you just gasped, didn't ya?! LOL! I've been a busy gal, and honestly, kept using some images Kim sent, so I forgot I had gotten this cutie pie. Now, she's seen ink, and the world is a better place! Anyhow, make sure you check out the sketch challenge.

CC Mojo Monday

I can't get a good photo of this card to save my life. I must have taken about 20 photos, and they just keep showing up blurry, or washed out. Not sure what's up with that! Anyhow, this is Mojo Monday's sketch Challenge. Was excited it was a long sketch. I don't do those too often. The paper is from TAC's Sands of Time. I love that it has so many colors to work with. The cardstock is from DCWV. I popped out the surfboard, hair and flip flops. I think this is such a cute image from CC Designs. I also used Amy R's Summer Sentiments. The felt flowers I found at Rachel Hope's store a few months back. Topped her off with some stickles. Other supplies: nesties, brads from Michael's, copics.
Thanks for stopping by.

Cozy First Fluffles

I woke super early this morning. I swear, the kids get out of school, and I've been up early both days! LOL! If it was a school day, I'd be dragging myself out of bed! But that gave me extra time to stamp, right?! Today's card I combined a few challenges. It's Sparkle's Christmas Challenge, which was use a stamp you haven't inked. I got this Fluffles from Michaels after Christmas when it was clearanced. First time I've inked it. Than I did Rachel's Cupcake Challenge this week. First time I'ved played her challenge. I pulled the colors from the cupcake, very different from what I normally use. I've had that same pack of Cranberry Crisp paper since it was released a few years back, and I've used about 3 sheets of it! I was also inspired by the line of silver dots on the cupcakes. Not sure if it shows well in the photo, but I put Tiara stickles on the snowflakes on his sweater, and outlined the nestie. The sketch was inspired by Taylor Expressions 72, I realized afterwards I forgot the circle part under the image. So, it's not a total match to the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies: paper was from Heidi Grace, Cranberry Crisp cardstock, PTI black, nesties, copics, Basic Grey buttons, scrappers floss, Martha punch. Copics-W3, W5, W7, R59.

Tinkerbelle Saturday Sketch

I combined two challenges today. This card uses the Sketch Saturday, and The Cute Card Thursday challenge. The Cute Card Thursday was to use a quote on the card. This Tinkerbelle quote is from a TAC set called Just Dream. I thought it would go very so nicely with Musing Melinda. I used Basic Grey's Two scoops papers. Other supplies are nesties, SU cornor punch, Regal Rose ink, sage shadow cardstock, primas, stickles, and copics. The copics I used were: Skin-Eooo, Eoo, E11, R20, hair-E33, E43, E31, pants-G21, G85, shirt-RV34, R22, wings-R00.

Trey's Last bat

Today was Trey's last official T-Ball Game. He made All-Stars, so he has a few more games to play with that team. This was his last with Daddy coaching. Paul was so sweet, he went into the dug out before their last hit, and told them: This is your last hit for the year. You're gonna have to think about this hit for the next nine months until next season. Make sure you make it a good one. I think the sentiment was lost on a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds, but I thought it was so sweet he said that to them. I captured them all at bat their last time, and you know I gotta show off my boy's last hit. I snapped two, one of him in stance, and one after he's swung the bat. I don't know if it shows his face well enough to see how serious the chap is when he's at bat! So cute to watch.

Just Magnolia Paper Piecing

Today was the last day of school. We made Gabi's teacher cry with the book the kids made. I thought that was super sweet. She loved her chalk board that I made too. Made me feel great! I gave Trey's teacher one of the sock cupcake pans. She loved it, too! That meant I had some free time today! Well, limited free time! Trey had All Stars Practice, and we brought home one of Gabi's friends. So, after practice, it was Pizza Hut for dinner, sneaking a peak at some puppies, who might make it home with us tomorrow...they were so stinking cute!

Than a bit of time to make a card tonight. I have to say, I am digging these Magnolia stamps. I see me getting some more very, very soon! Today the challenge at Just Magnolia was to paper piece. I tried to follow the sketch over at Sketch Sat from last weekend, since I didn't get to play, but I got a little off on the sketch.

This is Wild Raspberry paper by K and Co, copic markers, SU and EK cornor punch, some stickles, Kiwi Kiss cardstock, and primas. Copics:Y06, E95, Y08, E00, Eooo, E37, E11, Y15, YG23, E93.

Thanks for stopping by!

Magnolia Redo

I made this Magnolia card last week before my in laws arrived. I was rushing to finish it up before they arrived, and post it before the weekend got crazy with Gabi's dance. I kept looking at the card that weekend annoyed that I didn't wait to finish it, because it felt naked. It's been bothering me every time I see it. I took a moment the other day to fix a few things. It felt too heavy on one side, I centered the image, and added some more embellishments to the poor card. I also redid the sentiment because it was getting washed out on the pattern paper. I like this version much better!

Altered St. Patty's Chalk Board

So, this is my final teacher's gift. I hope I'm not boring you all with this stuff! But it's that time of the year! This was a fabulous find at Target back in April. I stalked a few local Target to get three of these suckers. They were made for St. Patty's day, but when they went on Clearance, I waited and waited until they hit 75% off. Random tidbit, I used to work for Target and was over their clearance, so I know how low it'll go! I stalk the racks, and love finding good deals. I had to paint over the bright green, which I did with spray paint. Than I covered it with K and Co cardstock. It was a touch bigger than 12 inches, so I had to kinda layer up the ends, hoping to hide it with the pattern. Than I added some flowers, and ribbon. I hope her teacher will love it. I have another one to make for me!
