Flutter By Wednesday #141, Use Three Hearts.

Happy hump day! Today's challenge for Flutter By Wednesday is to use at least three hearts on your project. As always, don't forget to use a fairy, butterfly or angel on your card as well. You can see what the rest of the design team did by clicking on their names to the right on my blog, or by clicking HERE to get to the Flutter By Wed blog, and than to their blogs. You'll not be disappointed to see what they've created!

This card uses an image from my sweet friend, Debbie. She loves hearts! So, it's a perfect image from her. I would have used red, because she loves red too, but didn't have any red papers. This challenge is perfect for her, and I bet she'll just have to play along today!

My image is colored with copics, cut out with nesties, and topped with stickles. I followed sketch #139, from Friday Sketchers. I used Sultry papers from Basic Grey, SU cardstock Wild Wasabi , and Pixie Pink. Dusted the ends with Close to Cocoa.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you play along with us! Be sure to link your creation back on the Flutter By Wednesday blog!

World Card Making Day.

I made three cards today! Two were the same designs, though. I finally got around to making my Just Magnolia card. I've been dying to play, because I got in some new Magnolias that I haven't had time to ink yet! They had a fun challenge with making your own flowers. They have a tutorial up, so if you need help with that, they got it! I had remembered seeing a tutorial using the scallop punch from Stamp Happy with Sgt. Stamper a few months back and decided to try it. Mine is not nearly as pretty as hers, but it looks good enough to be a flower, so I'm happy! I also did the sketch off Friday Sketchers. I really enjoyed this layout! I think I still had some challenges in my mind from yesterday, because the colors are so alike! On top of that, two holiday cards in a row! Today's paper line was the new Basic Grey line Eskimo Kisses. Such fun paper!Than I needed two sympathy cards. I've been putting them off for awhile, because those are just no fun to make. I grabbed my With Sympathy set from PTI. I kept these simple, and clean. I do like how they turned out, but I wish I would have used blue with the sponging instead of the creamy caramel. The sentiment is from SU. PTI's set is a lovely set for this occasion. The sentiments are so nice.

Supplies: copics, nesties, glimmer mist, Martha punch, SU rose red, creamy caramel, close to cocoa, cranberry crisp, SU cranberry crisp, regal rose cardstocks, PTI white cardstock, stickles,

Friday Summer

Today is two challenges in one. I played the Friday Sketcher's challenge, and the Just Magnolia Summer Challenge. I didn't have any summer images or Magnolia stamps, so I used my stamp from Chasing Butterflies, and some new paper I grabbed, and made her look summery. I think she looks darling in orange! Such a fun thing to color. My friend, Debbie, left the shoes white on her card not to long ago, and I thought it was super cute, so I left mine white too.
Thanks for stopping by.

Friday Magnolia

Oh, my! I'm so pleased with this card! This is the Friday Sketcher's layout and Just Magnolia challenge, which was to showcase bugs or animals on the card. My friend, Kim, sent me this image with the cute cowgirl the other day. So, I just had to try out a Magnolia challenge. Worked perfectly with the sketch challenge at Friday Sketchers! I skipped painting this morning, so I'm off to do that next. What fun!

Friday Willow

I was hoping to do a few challenges this morning. That didn't happen! But I did manage to get this one done tonight. Nothing better than a day going differently than you planned! Figured I'd hit Target to get what I forgot to get yesterday when I was there. Needed some hair dye, because the greys were shining brightly! Than after the kids came home, I let was putting together this water slide thing for them. Wow! They were in it for two hours, freezing, but having a blast. Than came dinner. I swear, I lost a day today!

Anyways, this is the Friday Sketchers layout challenge. I just got in some square nesties this month too, so I was happy to finally use them! Plus, I used a image from my stash, thanks Linda for sending me this! (Side note, my birthday was in Jan, and that was when they sent me the images.) But how cute did this turn out? This is a Basic Grey paper line, sultry? SU pixie pink, and close to cocoa. I used copics to color again, and topped her off with some stickles, and primas. I used a sentiment from a TAC set called Dear Friend. Doesn't it go perfectly with the image? Cut it a little short on the word punch to make it straight on the one end, and added the dew drop.

Copics: Skin-EOOO, RV20, E11. shirt, jewlery, and hearts-RV06, RV02, RV10, RV34-fastly becoming a favorite color choice, pants YG91, YG95, hair and belt-E77, E47.

Summer WOJ with Friday Sketchers

I couldn't wait to ink the new WOJ stamps up! My in laws aren't here yet, and the house is clean, so that meant play time with the set! I think this is my favorite out of the new kit. Isn't she just the sweetest looking?! All of them in the kit are all so sweet looking! The sentiments are darling too! The sentiment on the card is one of them. I colored her with copics. The paper is Basic Grey Two Scoops. I used SU Pink Pirouette and Ocean Tides from PTI. I added stickles, and shimmerz to her. I put shimmers on the flowers to turn them pink. This is also my first time doing a Friday Sketchers layout challenge. This also works for the Whiff of Joy Challenge to make a friendship card. Other supplies: scrappers floss, nesties, buttons.

Well, gotta go. Cross fingers no rain tomorrow. My in laws are traveling 9 hours to see Trey play t-ball, and rain may be in the forecast. We had a good shower today, so hoping it got it done and out of the way so he can play ball tomorrow!
