Thankful Willow!

I'm giddy right now. I ordered a Cricut Expression and it just arrived! I can't wait to play with it! I have a few scrapbook pages waiting for a title! Anyhow, this card covers a few challenges.

It's Flutterby Wed's Thankful challenge.

Pile It On, leaves.

Pink Elephant, Be Thankful.

Whiff of Joy Challenge, which was a color combo-orange, brown and ivory.

La La Land was to use punch/die cuts. I punched out two leaves buried under the flowers, and nestie.

Supplies: WOJ stamp, TAC sentiment, shimmerz, stickles, copics, Reflections paper and brad, Queen and Co brad, More Mustard cardstock, more mustard ink, choco chip ink, scrappers floss.
Thanks for stopping by!

Peaceful Willow

Here's a big challenge card. It's my Pile It On card. Their challenge was pastry. Willow with her sweet plate of Christmas Cookies seemed perfect for their challenge.
My other challenges:
ABC-Embossing. I heat embossed the bottom sheet under Willow with the dazzling diamond technique. Hard to see it it my layers, but I promise it's there!
Truly Scrumptious-sketch and doodling. Another hard to see element to the card. I doodle over the lighter brown sheet with a sparkle clear gel pen doing a faux stitching along the edges and the swirl pattern in the paper.
La La Land Craft Challenge- 2 pattern papers, color combo-red, brown, cream, embossing, scallops, and paper piercing. My paper piercing is hard to see, it's on the light brown sheet. I followed the swirls in the pattern, and around the edge.
Three Clovers was to use pink. I picked Basic Grey's Bittersweet, because it had both pink and red in to combine both color combos from La La Land, and Three Clovers.
Supplies: TAC sentiment, copics, stickles, SU Choco chip cardstock, EK punch, nesties, Close to cocoa ink pad.
Thanks for stopping by.

Tinkerbelle Saturday Sketch

I combined two challenges today. This card uses the Sketch Saturday, and The Cute Card Thursday challenge. The Cute Card Thursday was to use a quote on the card. This Tinkerbelle quote is from a TAC set called Just Dream. I thought it would go very so nicely with Musing Melinda. I used Basic Grey's Two scoops papers. Other supplies are nesties, SU cornor punch, Regal Rose ink, sage shadow cardstock, primas, stickles, and copics. The copics I used were: Skin-Eooo, Eoo, E11, R20, hair-E33, E43, E31, pants-G21, G85, shirt-RV34, R22, wings-R00.

Charming Willow

Man, love this card! This was my favorite image from the Summer Kit, but I kept picturing her sitting by water with those cute toes. Than I found a dock stamp on 7Kidscollege and had to wait for it to get back in stock! I think they make the perfect pair! I wasn't really sure how to color the water with the copics. I should blurf around and see if I find other examples coloring water. The WOJ challenge this week was to use a charm on the card. I added some stickles to the cherries. The paper is K and Co Wild Raspberry, and I think it's PTI blue cardstock. The brown is close to cocoa. Thanks for looking!

Other supplies:nesties, EK punch, scrappers floss, copics: skin-E000, E00, R20, E11, dress-B02, BG01BG05, R37, YG03. R00, hair-Y06, Y15, Y08, dock-E71, E77, water-B00, G00, 0

Friday Willow

I was hoping to do a few challenges this morning. That didn't happen! But I did manage to get this one done tonight. Nothing better than a day going differently than you planned! Figured I'd hit Target to get what I forgot to get yesterday when I was there. Needed some hair dye, because the greys were shining brightly! Than after the kids came home, I let was putting together this water slide thing for them. Wow! They were in it for two hours, freezing, but having a blast. Than came dinner. I swear, I lost a day today!

Anyways, this is the Friday Sketchers layout challenge. I just got in some square nesties this month too, so I was happy to finally use them! Plus, I used a image from my stash, thanks Linda for sending me this! (Side note, my birthday was in Jan, and that was when they sent me the images.) But how cute did this turn out? This is a Basic Grey paper line, sultry? SU pixie pink, and close to cocoa. I used copics to color again, and topped her off with some stickles, and primas. I used a sentiment from a TAC set called Dear Friend. Doesn't it go perfectly with the image? Cut it a little short on the word punch to make it straight on the one end, and added the dew drop.

Copics: Skin-EOOO, RV20, E11. shirt, jewlery, and hearts-RV06, RV02, RV10, RV34-fastly becoming a favorite color choice, pants YG91, YG95, hair and belt-E77, E47.

Berry Cute Mojo Monday

Super fun layout on Mojo Monday this morning! I just had to play when I saw it. Better yet, the new Whiff of Joy stamps would be perfect with the layout! My in laws have left, so it's laundry day, means free time during the wash cycles! LOL! I pulled out Wild Raspberry paper line from K and Co. Colored with the cutie with Copics. First trying to make a blond with the colors I have. I hope her hair looks right. Wasn't sure if it would be too bright of a yellow. I topped her off with some stickles. I used Pixie pink, and apricot appeal cardstock. Than cut it out with some nesties. Don't forget Elisbeth Bell has some blog candy on her blog! You can find a link a few posts below this one, or go to Whiff of Joy, and click on link from there.

We saw Star Trek yesterday. Very good movie! I was very impressed with it, and wasn't a fan of the old ST movies. I found they stayed true to the original movies, but made it more updated and fun. They even had a cool surprised person on there. At least a surprise for me, since I hadn't read any reviews or anything on the movie. I found myself laughing often, and loved the younger James Kirk! JJ Abrams had the perfect match for Spock too!

Summer WOJ with Friday Sketchers

I couldn't wait to ink the new WOJ stamps up! My in laws aren't here yet, and the house is clean, so that meant play time with the set! I think this is my favorite out of the new kit. Isn't she just the sweetest looking?! All of them in the kit are all so sweet looking! The sentiments are darling too! The sentiment on the card is one of them. I colored her with copics. The paper is Basic Grey Two Scoops. I used SU Pink Pirouette and Ocean Tides from PTI. I added stickles, and shimmerz to her. I put shimmers on the flowers to turn them pink. This is also my first time doing a Friday Sketchers layout challenge. This also works for the Whiff of Joy Challenge to make a friendship card. Other supplies: scrappers floss, nesties, buttons.

Well, gotta go. Cross fingers no rain tomorrow. My in laws are traveling 9 hours to see Trey play t-ball, and rain may be in the forecast. We had a good shower today, so hoping it got it done and out of the way so he can play ball tomorrow!

Whiff of Joy Summer Kit!

Oh, my kit just came! So stinking cute! Love it! Man, wishing I didn't have company come in so I could play with them! Who else got one?! That Elisabeth Bell is gonna kill my bank account! I just love all her images!

Whiff of Joy Kits Reveal.

Finally get to upload all of these. I had a ton of fun making. There were five of us in the swap, and I'll be including a link to their blogs or SCS galleries. I'm not sure when they're uploading their stuff, so if they pop up a few days from now, I'll update this. All the kits were great fun to work with, and I can't wait to see what all they created with the kits. It's so neat to see how each one turns out differently. With this swap we had all purchased the Spring kit, so we sent pattern papers, and matching cardstock to each player. Than at home we created a card with the supplies and adding our own touches, and blings. I colored all my images in with copic markers.

This is Debbie's kit. She hosted the swap. She picked Oakley sitting on the stump for her image. He looks like my son with his dark hair. He has a touch of stickles on his belt buckle, and flower. I think this will make a lovely Mother's Day card. Be sure to check out her SCS Gallery.
Next is Maggie's kit. I showed a sneak peak with her kit the other day, as this was a sketch challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenge blog. Such a sweet image! I covered her hat in shimmers. The sentiment is from TAC's Dear Friend by Mabelle R. Maggie has a gallery at SCS. Be sure to go check it out.

This is Rachel's kit. I had fun with this one. This was a sketch challenge somewhere, but I can't remember where, since I made this card a few weeks ago. If anyone knows where I got it from, please let me know, so I can add the link. Her colors in her papers were so soft and pretty. And this is such a pretty image! Rachel has an online store, and a lovely blog. Be sure to check out both, you can find the link to her store on her blog.
This kit came from Tammi. Oh, I love purples! I had recently grabbed some pearl brads from Michael's too. Was the perfect touch on this card! I think this is my favorite image from the set. I used one of the EK punches at Michaels for the border. Tammi has one of my favorite blogs to visit. She does some amazing work, so make sure you pop over to see how her kits turned out. This last card is my kit. Mine was pretty bright compared to the rest. I do love the bright flowers that arrive in spring! My paper is from Basic Grey. I used Carr. Blue, Regal Rose, and Cameo Coral for my cardstock. I still have two packs of Carr. Blue, because I loved it so much, and haven't been brave enough to break into my stash! I added some scrappers floss to the flowers. After I was done, and looked over the card, I wished I put the buttons on the other side.

I hope you enjoyed the cards. Be sure to check out the other's galleries or blogs to see what they created with the same supplies.

Sneak Peak for WOJ Swap with a Layout Challenge

I signed up to do a Whiff of Joy Spring Kit swap with a few ladies. We send the supplies to make the card, so everyone gets the same supplies in their kit, we each picked an image we wanted to use, than we make our cards at home with the kits provided. It's so neat to see how different the cards all turn out with the same supplies. I'm posting this one now because I did the WOJ challenge on this card. I loved how it turned out! I think the reveal is some time this weekend, so it's a little sneak peak of what's to come from the swap. I'll have links for the other creations with this kit when they are revealed.
This was Maggie's kit. Her kit was a ton of fun to work with because of the bright colors. I used my copics to color her. Added some shimmerz, stickles, prima flowers, and prima bling on here. The sentiment is from a TAC set called Dear Friend.

Mojo Willow

Finally played with the Spring Kit from WOJ. So far all I've done is made one card, and sent off some images! When I saw this weeks Mojo Monday, I thought cutie pie Willow would be perfect for the layout. She's such a sweet image! And did you know they're releasing a summer kit! Oh, and the preview is darling too! Elisabeth makes some super cute stamps!

On my card I used Spring Stack from DCWV. I love to grab the smaller stacks, because they give me the fun papers, in a nice card making size! My cardstock is from SU-Regal Rose and PTI-Summer Sunrise. Goodness, that Summer Sunrise is such a pretty color. Dusted the edge with SU Apricot Appeal. Willow is colored in with water color crayons, a sweet friend sent me some SU water color crayons she wasn't using any more! I used them on this card! Thanks a ton for them! I paper pieced Willow's shirt. Added some stickles, and shimmerz to her. I cut the basket out and popped it up too. The basket also has shimmers and blingz on the eggs.

Other supplies: Nesties, flowers from Michaels-the one came with glitter on top of it, brads from Michaels, ribbon from Joann's. Water color crayons.

New WOJ Stamps

I was so happy to see the new Angel release from Whiff of Joy, and they had arrived in my mail box today. Woo hoo! My throat is killing me, so it gave me something to think about outside of not being able to drink without being in pain. I think I'll be seeing a DR tomorrow to check for strep!

Back to Whiff of Joy, I was also excited to see the bench that she just came out with, as I think it will work perfectly with the Spring Kit stamps. I already have plans for that bench with a few of those cuties! I loved Musing Melinda from this newest release. I ran across the grass on there, somehow I had missed that in past purchases, so I had to snatch it up too.
I followed the sketch from Mojo Mondays. Due to the size of my image, I made my card square at 5.5. I don't often make square cards. Are they harder to mail? I used Two Scoops from Basic Grey, DCWV cardstock and Regal Rose cardstock. Martha Stewart double scallop punch, and SU's word punch, but I ran out of room, so the round part got covered up! I had also added brads to the end of the word punch part, but took them out to fit the image, and forgot to stick them back in. I added shimmerz and blingz to her wings, flowers, and hearts on the shirt. I wasn't able to capture a good photo of that tonight. I used Regal rose ink with So many scallps, and SU's scallop punch. All in all, what a stinking darling image! I love those stamps from Elisabeth Bell!

70 Big Ones!

Been a busy week this week. Trey started T-Ball. Man, how cute are 4 and 5 year olds excited to play the game? Trey's six, his first time playing T-Ball, and his Daddy is coaching for the first time with him, too. Than Paul asked me to help out this week training a new Office Manager, so I haven't been able to play along with some of my favorite Blog Challenges this week. Things should calm down some next weekend, but than I have to catch up on all the things falling behind at home from being out of the house so much this week.

I had to take some time out to make a quick card for someone special. We have a host at our Chick-fil-A named Mr. Wade. He and his wife both work for us hosting in our dining room. Such sweethearts. Anyhow, his birthday is Monday, and he's turning 70! I just had to make him a card. I saw on Kim and Tammi's blog a way fun layout from Mojo Monday, so I tried it. Got my buttons in the wrong spot, but the image took up alot of space, and it would have been too crowded on that side. I used Basic Grey's Boxer line, and Brocade Blue cardstock. I used an image sent to me by Linda, from Whiff of Joy. Thanks, Linda!

Supplies: SU scallop punch, brocade blue cardstock, Basic Grey Boxer paper, nesties, crystal glaze, scrappers floss in black.

Fluttering Willow

I turned in all the yearbook stuff today, sent it off on line to be published, so I'm free at last! I love doing the yearbook, but it amazes me how much time it takes. Could be I'm just overly particular about how it comes together! Anyhow, I think it turned out really nice, and hopefully, the parents and kids will all love when they get their hands on it too! I did have a reading engagement with Gabi's class as a guest reader for Dr. Seuss week at our school, so I started my card before three, and I'm just now finishing it up. Lost was on today, so not stamping when Lost is on!

On A Whiff of Joy Challenge it was Lavender and lace. I didn't have a lot of lace, so the most I had was Martha's punch. Lavender Lace is one of my favorite SU colors, so my card base is that color. Than it's got an itty bitty butterfly on there, and a butterfly charm, so I think it might barely make it for Danni's Flutterby cards! Barely though! LOL!

Supplies: SU Lavender Lace, Old Olive cardstock, SU ink-baja breeze, bordering blue, lyra water color crayons, shimmerz, Whiff of Joy stamp, TAC sentiment-fixed after the photo was taken, nesties, Martha punch, papers from Linda.

Sultry Willow

I'm not quite done with the year book, but I'm waiting on a few things from three people, so there's not much I can do until I get those things. Means, I had a break from 535 kids photos! I needed it too! So, how did I spend my time? I finally got to play today with the new Whiff of Joy Spring kit. Man, such cute images! I joined a card kit swap, and this was the image I selected, so I wanted to try it out first. This is the first time I've been able to ink any of them up since they arrived. They are so cute! You just gotta love Willow! This is my first card with this set, and I can't wait to play with rest of the stamps! I got this sketch off of Amy R's page.

Also, the other day I headed to Michaels. I was so surprised to see some new products in! Brand new paper punches. I called my friend Kim gasping about what I was seeing! Such cool ones! A beach theme, scallops, bats, ABC's, there was a bunch of fun ones to look at! I took a photo on my phone, because I was so giddy with what I saw. (I asked permission to take the photo, because I was to nervous about it with team members walking around.) I'll have to see if they're still on my phone. They had 24 new border punches at 14.99, and two rows of smaller punches at 9.99. One of the smaller punches that I recall was a cute martini glass complete with two itty bitty olives, and the stick! But anyhow, I got two of the new border ones. I'm taking a picture to show the size sample next to the SU scallop punch. I took photos of the punches open, and closed next to the SU punch to show the size difference, love this about them, and how they close shut and can stack next to each other because they lay flat. They take less space than the whale tail punches. Please know, I'm not picking on SU punches, I tried to take the photo with Martha's punch, but they're white, and my banner top paint is white, so it wasn't showing up. The space where the punching happens is the same as MS and SU punches. I punched the two that I grabbed to show how they look. I punched the deep green layer in SU's scallop punch. The one in red has a diamond shape above the scallop part. I used the itty bitty scallop on the card above.
Supplies: Whiff of Joy Spring kit, Basic grey Sultry paper line, lyra water color crayons, close to cocoa, kiwi kiss, pixie pink cardstocks by SU, stickles, gems, glitter pen-pink, brads and punch from Michaels.
