Scrapping Stamping Blog Hop

A group of TAC demos on Paper Wings got together for a blog hop using stamps with scrapbooks. In short, we're scramping for this blog hop! Be sure to check the bottom of this post for their links to go see what they've come up with as well. This is one of my favorite uses for stamps, I use them quite often in my scrapbook pages, and included some links to pages I've put on my blog in the past.
I love being able to make the stamps match my papers or theme, because sometimes you can't always find what you want with stickers. For example, my daughter, Gabi, just about always wears pink. I know an outfit will be a big hit if it's pink, so we buy pink. Christmas doesn't always go well with pink! Stamps make it so I can make the stuff match and work well with my pages.

Case in point, this page, I use Pop Rockz for my pages. I have kids dressed totally differently, as often happens with boys and girls! I'm pretty matchy-matchy with colors in my scrapbook pages, so it's hard for me to just ignore what they're wearing when I scrap. Plus, I like bold, colorful pages, and that makes them busy sometimes, so the less contrast I have, the better!
Out of my stash, I felt the Pop Rockz paper line had enough different colors in it to work with Gabi's colors in her hat and jacket, and not make Trey sound out so much. Tutti Fruity would have worked well, but I don't have that SWIC. I used the black and grey from his clothes as my accents, with the base cardstock being grey, and black for a lot of my accessorise. I stamped Swirlies p. 21 IBC around the different areas to bring out more black. I used sentiments from Forever Family p. 15, This Girl p. 79, the tab above Trey on the first page says "giggles and grins" from this set, but it's not showing up well. The stamp on Gabi's bottom left on the right page is the lower part of the heart in Forever Family. I cut my heart and swirl apart, giving me two stamps, not one, and used that for that photo corner on her. Some of my accents are Round loops p. 86, mini file tab punch p. 115, scrappers floss, black p. 111, photo turns p. 111, inks Noir, and lavendar sachet.

Be sure to check out the other Angels doing the hop...
Here are some other links to scrapbook pages I've made using TAC stamps. The papers might not be TAC's as I love paper, and buy a ton of a lot of different places.
This is one of my favorite pages ever. It uses Squiggle Lady bugs, and running stitches.
This one uses Give Thanks.
Last week I made a page for Gabi's Nutcracker performance using Just Dream.

Another Blog hopping card

I had so much fun making the one yesterday, and I had one more image left over, I had to make another card today. Love how this one turned out! It even enabled me to finally trim a stamp set I hadn't cut out yet from the early release for the TAC demos back in Jan. Inking up a new set is always fun too! This came together so nicely! I used those Koh-i-noor pencils again that my friend Kim always uses. They are very easy to blend. Kinda wish they had a lot more colors! Might need to peak online and see what I can find!

I cut the butterfly out, and than took my razor to separate the wings. So, the middle wing is pushed out higher with the dot. The other wings and body are glued down on the paper. I did one of my favorite techniques to the background sheet, dazzling diamond dust.
Be sure to peak at the other TAC demos who are playing on this round, too. It's always neat to see how other people use a set. My other card I made with this set is the post below this one.

Oh, and yesterday, I posted I cased a layout from Tammi. I put in a link to show the card she made, and it didn't take for some reason. So, I'm stinking it in this post.
Supplies: TAC Swirly butterfly, graffic blooms, Koh-I-Noor pencils, Versamark ink pad, Prussian blue palette ink pad, Lilly Anna SWIC paper line, DCWV cardstock, prima flower.

I'm a dope!

Taking a quick break from yearbook duties to made a deadline on a blog hop. Our school did the cutest thing last night. They had a talent show, and the kids were so stinking cute. Plus, the mom in charge was so into it, she had the cutest decorations put up. That's the last thing to be photographed to be added to the yearbook this year. I created a press pass for myself and took photos of all the kids on the red carpet as they entered the school.

Anyways, back to the reason for the post! I signed up for a blog hop using TAC's Butterfly Swirls on Paper Wings. Somehow, I had it in my head I had the set! I don't have the set! LOL! Realized that today when I went to make my card, and went, oh, it's not Butterfly Bits, which is the set I have! That is just so like me, such a dingbat sometimes! Well, thankfully, I remembered that as part of a monthly swap I was in a few other TAC angel friends, where we made a card each month, and sent a few images with the card so we could than make our own card with the stamped image, that I had some stamped images from the set. It allowed for us to use other sets to see how much we loved them, and also show case different styles with the same set. So, Barb had that set, and she sent us some images of it! Yippie! Meant I could still play and make the deadline! I cased a layout off of Tammi. I forgot the back layer of designer paper! Kim will be proud because I used the new pencils I got because of her the other day. And I naturally used a coupon! Loving how this all came together.
Now back to the yearbook, and editing all those photos from last night!

Supplies: TAC Butterfly swirl, Angelee paper pack, DCWV cardstock, stickles, Martha S. punch, nesties, Koh-i-noor pencils, dew drops.
