Take Out Those Images #2.

I did good! Here's another card using images sent by friends. I went through my images, and organized them by designers. Made it a little easier to see what I have, and I had fun ooo'ing at the images as I was piling them in piles. These images came from Debbie. And lookie, more than one image! I've used three on this card! All darling images too! Even grabbed out Bittersweet from Basic Grey to work on using up some packs of papers. I hoard way too much! I should challenge myself to see what I can use in the next coming months! I don't seem to make a lot of Valentines day cards. I've had this Martha punch for a few years, I mean the punch has rubber under it instead of an opening under the metal. I think this is honestly the first time I've used it. It goes perfectly with the two images. I used it and punch out some extra hearts. The punch punches out the sentiment and two hearts. I did the sketch challenge at Just Magnolia. I flipped the sketch sideways. Didn't realize until after I cropped my photo how uneven my gems where. I colored them with my copic to make it match. That's so cool they can do that!

Magnolia Angels.

I've been a total crafting mood lately. Busting out some cards! Have to hit while the moment strikes, right?! Anyhow, played along with Just Magnolia's Sketch Challenge from Friday. My daughter's name is Gabrielle, and always makes me think of angels when I think of her name. Thinking of her makes me think of hot pink, cuz the kid just loves that color. With all that in mind, I went to an older Christmas stack from DCWV. I've had it for a few years now. It's full of fun colors, which I like because I'm pretty matchy matchy with clothes in my scrapping pages, and Gabi's always in pink. It's a perfect holiday stack because it has papers with colors both kids are most likely wearing. This card just screams Gabi. Bright fun colors, and glitter all over! LOL! Loud card, huh?!
I love the new angel sitting on the side like that. So cute! I wish I had switched my two panels, cuz I loved the snowflake paper, but its pretty covered up with the snowflakes now.
Thanks for stopping by!

A Warm Magnolia.

How sweet is this little lady?! Another stamp I've acquired and neglected! She's such a sweet little thing. Showing off that lovely paper kit from Queen Scraps again. She's the sponsor for Pile It On this coming Sunday. I had some left over paper from my scrapbook page, and wanted to show off how pretty this kit was. Mine was the Making Memories Flutter Kit. I loved the colors in this paper kit! Isn't it just perfect for girly cards?! You have so many fun color options. I must say, Queen Scraps is a very cool product for scrappers. She's done a lot of the guess work for you, and put it all together along with directions to a sketch.

You can see the pearly part of the flower sheet on this photo. The glitter stripe is showing up nicely too. The ribbon is double sided. I followed the sketch over at Just Magnolia this week. I forgot to run the ribbon thru the image oval nestie.

I added smooch to the blue part of her dress, and to the prima flowers. I topped her hair off with stickles. I colored her with copics. Cut her out and popped her out.

Chilling on a barrel.

These images were sent to me by Tammi. I have a few manly birthday's coming up, so figured it was worth it to get started on the cards. I tried to do the Just Magnolia sketch, but I went off to the left to show off the paper more under my little Cap'n. I tried to make a cool sentiment like Tammi always does. I think hers looks a ton better than mine turned out. I'm almost, just almost, embarrassed to say I've had that stack of papers from Die Cuts With a View for about 3 years. I love the paper, and can't bring myself to cut it up. But figured it worked perfectly with the pirate, so I had to chop up a few pages. (I say only almost embarrased, because I know there's more horders out there! So, you know how hard it can be to use up something.)

Thanks for stopping by.

Basic Magnolia!

How cute is this image? This was sent to me by a sweet friend! Totally adorable image! Have you seen the new line coming out with Magnolia? Oh, my, so cute! Anyhow, this covers a few challenges for me. The sentiment is from TAC.

Birthday Magnolia

A few challenges on this card today. I paper pieced her outfit. The pack of paper has tags, and I used the tags to get some different fun patterns for the clothes. Looks like her cheeks need to be blended better. I also ran out of room for my sentiment. I grabbed that swirl punch at Joann's last week. Thought it looks so cool, I'd add another row on the top of my pink sheet. Didn't like it so much afterwards.
JUGS-Pink, Green, Lavender, and yellow-optional. I thought this paper line, Angelee from The Angel Company was perfect for this challenge.
Just Magnolia-Sketch.
Cute Card Thursday-Touchy Feely-texture. I added flowers, embossed the nesties, and a fun trim.
ABC-Sparkle.
Flutterby-Open Challenge.

Working on scrapbook pages still too. These are of Gabi's dance recital last year. She's not overly pleased with these two pages. The Best Friends page was for her baton class, and she said it was "Too Green!" Um, kiddio, you're wearing green and black! Kids! I'm sure she'll appreciate it more in a few years! I used my Cricut to cut out the title. That black sheet is covered in glitter. I found those papers at Target. They have some fun colors. I used a silver sheet on the page below.
The ballet page is beautiful, as far as I'm concerned! She wanted me to use a purple sheet instead of the blue that was in the K and Co paper pack. But the photos looked prettier with the blue. (I think it was because it pulled out her eye color.) I will get good used out of this pack of papers, as all of her costumes this year will be black and white. I found this pack at a scrapbook store, but also saw it at Michael's in the wedding scrapbook area.
My friend took these photos of Gabi, and they turned out so good. She has three boys, so she doesn't get to play with girly photos too often.
Gabi was in Swan Lake at the recital last year. They have one big ballet dance during the recital, and a few classes are part of it. Her group was Russia, I think. Her costume was so pretty! I loved this costume. Made her seem like she was a little flower blooming out of her costume. I snapped some photos of her at the recital with friends, and will make a page with it. But these photos were too pretty not to make a page of them too!
I'm adding big photos of the Swan Lake pages, because my family hasn't seen these photos yet. Also, so I can let my friend see how pretty they turned out in a scrapbook page. Didn't she do a great job on those pictures?! Can I say again, how much I just love these photos?!
Thanks for stopping by.

Total Sweetness!

Man, shame on my friend, Debbie! She sent me this uber cute image. I'm in love! Normally, I tend to go for the long haired Tilda's. Oh, I'm in trouble now! This cutie was so much fun to color! Made me smile, and reminded me of Shirley Temple! Anyhow, this is my card for the Just Magnolia Sketch. Thank you so much for the image! Very cute!
I'm way behind on blogging this week. It's been a rough week. I'm never sure on how I should view things on life sometimes. Like should you be embarrassed about something, or should you just own up to who you are and say this is me....I'm really a this is the deal type of gal, and possibly too honest for my own good. The last couple years my cycles have been getting the better of my moods, and lately, it's more often. So much to the point where I'm fighting stuff every other month, and it's creating a lot of personal havoc for me. I went to the DR the other day, and started meds for PMDD. How nice of the DR to confirm that I can be a total bag sometimes! LOL! Anyhow, I'm hoping that in a month, I'll be feeling more like my happy easy going self, and less like a pitbull all wound up ready to attack. It takes awhile for the meds to start working, and the mood swings are due to my cycle, so I gotta wait for it to come again to see if it helps. Being a girl is hard sometimes! Sorry for the way personal detail, but it seems like just about every four weeks I'm going on here saying it was rough again...and this is why!

I have to share one other thing, this darling card from my MIL that she sent to my kids. I got my MIL into stamping this past year, turns out to be fair, because she got me scrapping. She lives far away, so I don't get to create with her too often, but she's been moving along on her own. I was so proud of how far she's coming on her own that I wanted to show it off for her. I love seeing someone else get into stamping, and knowing that she's enjoying herself with this hobby.

Bright Tilda and a redo.

I love how this card turned out! I think it's one of my favorite holiday ones I've made this year. I saw this layout for a challenge today on Unscripted Sketches, and had to play along. I love clean lines, and this has them! One of my blogger friends, Alanna, is on their DT. Make sure you say hi if you have time to play along with them!

Than for Just Magnolia it was to use bright and zingy. I love bright colors at Christmas time, so I made a holiday card. I'm married to a traditional color scheme man, so I don't get to go crazy with those fun colors that I see in stores during the holidays. But love using it in my scrapbook pages, and holiday cards. I paper pieced her hat and dress.
Than at JUGS, it was a challenge to use pure poppy, aqua mist and cream. Gotta say I love what they call their blog! Basic Grey's Eskimo kisses fit this color scheme. I switched out the aqua mist, and used cool Caribbean instead, because it matched a touch better. I kept it simple on the embellishments. I used my bow tier from Susana's Store. Love that thing!

Other supplies: pure poppy cardstock, cool Caribbean cardstock, stickles, SU punches, SU sentiment, nesties.

I decided the double sides of the blocks I made for Mrs. Day weren't decorated enough, so I added some more bling to it. I think it looks filled in better now on those two sides. I saw her at Target on Friday, and was telling her how excited I was to give it to her. Can't wait to see her expression on Monday! You can see my first take on it on the post below this one.

Friday Challenges

I got a lot on this card! LOL!
Caardvarks-use ribbon. The brim of the hat is ribbon tucked underneath.
Dutch Dare-2 cardstocks, 2 pattern papers, 2 flowers, 2 brads, 2 gems/buttons. Check, check and check!
Macabre Monday-Treat Bag.
Supplies: Copics, Old Olive cardstock, Basic Grey paper, PTI purple cardstock and black, primas, Martha punch, gems, stickles, EK punch-bats, nesties.
I had ordered this stamp in hopes of using it for a swap, but it was back ordered, and took a month to get to me. But so glad to have it in my hands now! I had a hard time getting the colors to photograph right. She looks a little washed out. I also tried to color her face green, man, I just can't do stuff like that! So hard to color outside the box!

Good news on the washer front. I got a new one delivered today. It's a lovely Samsun in a light blue. And a tip, if you ever find yourself with a washer full of water, a wet/dry vac is so the way to go to get the water out! Thanks to my friend Melissa for that tip! Cuz I was clueless as to how to empty it!

Maxwell graduated from puppy training last night! Still got a lot of work to do to get him where I'd like him to be, but here's a shot I had to snap of him outside today! Looked so cute!

World Card Making Day.

I made three cards today! Two were the same designs, though. I finally got around to making my Just Magnolia card. I've been dying to play, because I got in some new Magnolias that I haven't had time to ink yet! They had a fun challenge with making your own flowers. They have a tutorial up, so if you need help with that, they got it! I had remembered seeing a tutorial using the scallop punch from Stamp Happy with Sgt. Stamper a few months back and decided to try it. Mine is not nearly as pretty as hers, but it looks good enough to be a flower, so I'm happy! I also did the sketch off Friday Sketchers. I really enjoyed this layout! I think I still had some challenges in my mind from yesterday, because the colors are so alike! On top of that, two holiday cards in a row! Today's paper line was the new Basic Grey line Eskimo Kisses. Such fun paper!Than I needed two sympathy cards. I've been putting them off for awhile, because those are just no fun to make. I grabbed my With Sympathy set from PTI. I kept these simple, and clean. I do like how they turned out, but I wish I would have used blue with the sponging instead of the creamy caramel. The sentiment is from SU. PTI's set is a lovely set for this occasion. The sentiments are so nice.

Supplies: copics, nesties, glimmer mist, Martha punch, SU rose red, creamy caramel, close to cocoa, cranberry crisp, SU cranberry crisp, regal rose cardstocks, PTI white cardstock, stickles,

Just Saturday!

What a fun day today! Gabi had dance, Trey had a birthday party, and than a baseball game. Both had activities at the same time, in opposite directions! We won the baseball game, but poor Trey struck out, or got out before getting on base. So, he wasn't overly happy at the end of the game. Hard on Daddy too, because he's the coach, and it's coach pitch, so means Daddy struck him out a few times! Bummer, huh? I can see more hitting practice in the coming days for those two.
When we got back home around 6, and walked poor Maxwell, I sat down to stamp a little. I had gotten some new Magnolias in when my MIL was in town. Had had time to play with them just yet. I took the time to do Friday's Just Magnolia challenge, pink, grey and black, and paired it with Sketch Saturday. I flipped a few elements, due to the size of my image, couldn't fit the sentiment by the bell. I added some shimmers to her boots, pink clothing, and bell. Added stickles to the grey parts. I used some old sparkle paper from TAC for the grey sheet. The sentiment is from SU.

Other supplies: copics, nesties, EK punch, corner rounder, Sabrina paper line, SU pink pirqu ink and paper, PTI black, going grey ink pad.

Sunshiney Days

I made this for a friend's birthday coming up this weekend. She's had a lot of changes in her life this past year. Some good, some not so good, and difficult to process. So, I thought this sentiment would be perfect for her for her new year of new things!
I did the Just Magnolia challenge on this, but I can't tie a bow to save my life! So, I got ribbon on there in three places, but no official bows. I did the sketch challenge from Stamps and Smiles. Not used to a big area of space lately, but I think it works very well on this sketch. It was hard not to find more things to fill it in when I was working on it, but when I put this Zva Create flourish on it from Rachel's store, I thought it was the perfect touch. It still showed off my pattern paper from Cosmo Cricket, which I also got from her store. I found this Magnolia stamp a little harder to paper piece than I expected. The basket with the loose flowers threw me. I added the flower soft to kinda hide that area a little! Makes for a perfect cover up! LOL!

Supplies: Riding hood red, so saffron cardstock, stickles, primas, Amy R Beach Sentiments, Magnolia, nesties, copics, flower soft

Taking Time Magnolia!

Sheesh, I started this card on Friday. Had it colored, parts cut out, and than went to work on it again last night, unable to complete it again...why? Not sure, except Maxwell, the puppy, wanted to stay downstairs, and everyone had gone to bed, so I didn't want to leave him alone. So, just now finishing this card! Good gravy! That's the longest it's ever taken me to finish a card! LOL!
Anyways, this is my take on the Just Magnolia challenge from Friday. I used Basic Grey's Ava paper line. Such pretty colors! I colored her with copics, slapped her on rich razzleberry cardstock, and topped her off with stickles. I have one complaint about my card. She's not straight, her feet aren't flat. Didn't notice it until my card was just about done!

Oh, I used a new sentiment I got from TAC this week. My first order from the new catty arrived. Double Hostess awards is going on now until the end of Sept, and Sept 1 releases the new supplement, and it's got some cute new fun stuff in there. The sentiment is from a gift with purchase set in the base catty. It's so pretty, and the perfect size! I can tell that sets gonna be a favorite of mine to use. They are 2.95 with a 30 dollar order, but it has 5 sentiments with it. In that nice pretty font! Got the new Mimi paper in too! Can't wait to play with it!

Other supplies: purple scrappers floss, SU word punch, nesties, dew drops, rich razzleberry ink, plum cardstock, and PTI cardstock.

Sitting Pretty!

Whew, been a busy week for me. Gabi had dance camp this week, and a trip to a local water park yesterday. So, we've been out a lot this week. First time sitting down to stamp I think since like Tuesday. Anyhow, enough rambling, on to the crafting...
Here's my card for Just Magnolia, which was a sketch! I also combined it with a few more challenges. Cute Card Thursday was to use red and teal. My papers are Green from DCWV. I also did Stamp Simply, which was to make a friend card, used a friend sentiment on the front of the card. Hard for me to pull off sometimes. I never seem to leave enough room for sentiments. Stamp Something Challenge was to use a charm. I have a fun starfish one on the corner of the card with the flowers.

Supplies:copics, primas, charm, TAC Tag Tidbits sentiment, SU taken with teal ink, stickles, scrappers floss.

Distressing Magnolia

I've been working on a project this week for the Anya Blog Hop, so I've not had time to stamp outside of what I was working on. I can't wait to show that off tomorrow, cuz I threw a party when I finished it up today!

Since I was all done, it meant I got to play the Just Magnolia challenge. And what a challenge it was for me! It was distressing. I struggle with that style. I love seeing cards made all nice and shabby, but it's so hard for me! I completed my card though! I also did another challenge with this card. It was get fruity off Cute Card Thursday. My papers have fruits on them. Shockingly, I had no layout challenge on my card! I do love those lately.

Supplies: Magnolia stamp, copics, primas, MS punch, dew drops, DCWV Summer Stack, glimmer mist, nesties, scrappers floss, SU So Saffron and Cool Carr. cardstock, close to cocoa ink pad, stickles.

Sunny Magnolia

I think I might have beaten Debbie! Woo hoo for me! (Nope, I just copied her blog to link it, and saw she put up a card already! Good for her!) LOL! I had to get up early with the puppy, he woke up at 7:00, and all I could think about was to go check out the Just Magnolia challenge to try to get it done before her. But I was too tired to get up stairs! Once I started this card the glass man came to fix a broken bay window. 500 bucks later, I can see clearly now! Hubby will be happy when he sees it when he gets home tonight.
Anyhow, this is my take on the Magnolia Sketch Challenge this week. I used Basic Grey Lemonade, SU Rose Red, and So Saffron cardstocks. I grabbed this Magnolia because it reminded me of my friend, Kim. The sentiment is from Pink Cat Studios Summer Lily set.

Other supplies: SU word punch, stickles, copics, prima flowers.

Pretty Basic Magnolia

Here's my card for the Just Magnolia challenge for the day. It was to use buttons! Not sure if Debbie beat me today! I got to jabbering on the phone with a friend, and lost track of time! I also tried used the sketch challenge on Amy R's blog, but having just peaked at it again, I forgot the sentiment, and I flipped the ribbon from her sketch. I used Basic Grey's Bittersweet because of the hearts in the papers, and hearts on the image. I colored with copics, added some stickles to her.

Stylin' Magnolia

You all remember me winning that way cool blog candy off Midnight Madness, I picked out some new Magnolias and they arrived this week. This is one of them. I love long hair on little girls, so just about all the ones I grabbed have long hair. I wasn't able, or should say didn't have the mojo yesterday to do Cute Card Thursday, which was a thank you card for a teacher. I thought this Tilda would look so perfect to be dressed in plaid-and she did! I grabbed two packs of Basic Grey today, June Bug, and Lemonade-thanks, Kim! And stay tuned, I grabbed another Lemonade pack for a blog candy I'm getting ready to post soon.
I used June Bug on this card, and SU Ruby Red and Old Olive cardstock. I followed the sketch on Just Magnolia, and I think I beat Debbie today, but gotta post quickly to make sure! I also tried another challenge I saw on Pile It On, called Use It. They had a challenge to use two punches-those are my SU word punches, texture-flowers, ribbons, and buttons, favorite paper company-lately, I'm in love with Basic Grey, and a bonus to use a pearl, which I topped her hat with one! My sentiment is from TAC, and I colored her with copics.

American Woman

Goodness, I'm so happy with out this card turned out! I don't think I've ever made a red, white and blue card! This uses the sketch from Sketch Saturday, bonus to do red, white, and blue, cuz it's our Birthday! And the challenge for Just Magnolia, which was to use a charm! And Debbie killed me this week, because she posted her card a day ago! I just got mine done! LOL! My sweet friend, Tammi, sent me this image this week, and how cute is it? I colored her with copics, and used some papers I've had since last year. I still need to scrap my Forth of July photos from last year! Which is what the paper is for! Maybe I'll get that done this week! I love the new SU word punch window, which layers perfectly with my old word punch window! My cardstock is from DCWV. Other supplies: prima flowers, EK punch, SU Brillant blue, SU punches, stickles, crystal effects, scrappers floss, TAC sentiment, and charm.

Copics:skin-E000, 93, 11, hair-Y00, 08, 02, unbrella-O, B29, 39, E08, clothes-R29, 27, C3 outline, and water is C1.

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Forth of July! I hope everyone has a fab day! We're having a cookout with friends, followed by fireworks!

Friday Lady

Whoops! I hit something and posted this blank! How funny!

I got this stamp from Sparkle last week when she was selling off some stamps. I'd been eyeing her, but didn't grab her, so it was perfect timiing when she had it up for grabs! What a sweet little lady! The sketch is the Just Magnolia challenge this week. The paper is from K and Co, Brenda Walton I think. PTI Ocean Tides cardstock, SU Razzleberry cardstock and ink. Martha punch, and nesties to cut things out. Colored her with some copics, and added some primas I had floating around. I topped off with some stickles, but they're not showing up well in the photos. Took a hint from Kim, and watched a video by Amy R on trimming out images. I think that helped a lot! Totally loving how this turned out!
Copics: Skin-Eooo, Eoo, E93, E11, clothes-RV000, RV34, R85, hair-E35, E33.

Thanks for stopping by.
Don't forget, tomorrow is the cut off for the TAC Grab Bag of stamps up for grabs! Click HERE for more information about that.
