Bermuda Sugar Nellie.

Goodness, how pretty is this card? I know totally tooting my own horn, but this card is so pretty! My sweet friend, Tammi, sent me this pack of paper by K and Co. and the colors are so soft. Really cool thing about it is it's textured a little too, and it shows up when you softly edge the end with ink. I saw a fun layout on Sugar Bowl, and had to play along. They are giving some sneak peaks of some releases, and all of them are so cute! They also said to pull out some punches, so I used two. One I haven't used yet, and the other is a neglected punch.

I cleaned out my punch tote yesterday to try to reorganize it better. Any tips on how you all store your punches? I moved out some seasonal punches, to keep ones that are good for everyday cards to help out some. I really like the EK ones that fold flat to keep down on the clutter. Wonder if Martha will jump on board with that too.

Teacher appreciation is coming up and I'll need some cards on hand for the kids teachers. This one is pretty bulky with the flowers, so it will be perfect for one of them.

Gotta say, I really love the punch on the brown sheet. It's a Martha Stewart punch, and it so classy looking. Other supplies: Bermuda bay cardstock, basic brown ink, nesties, stickles, primas, copics,

First Sugar Bowl

I did the sketch challenge today at The Sugar Bowl. This was my first time playing. I love seeing what Tammi does when she plays, but I didn't have any Sugar Nellie stamps until recently. Than today, Kim posted such a pretty card, so I just had to play today! I borrowed Blossom from a friend of mine and stamped off a bunch of images. Glad I did too, because she was a lot of fun to color! I used a new pack paper from Wild Raspberry by K and Co. Such pretty colors in it. My image is colored with copics. I see some spots that weren't filled in all the way. I popped out the flowers, and added stickles to them. I used SU More mustard, baja blue, and pink piro cardstock. Cropped her out with my nestie. I really want to get the slender rectangles. Added some primas that I had floating around. I was looking for this other pack I had, just saw them other day, and couldn't find them tonight! I know they'll bite me tomorrow when I return to my desk! Thanks for looking.

Chilly day in VA

We've chilled at home today. Gabi's sick today. She's fighting a sinus infection, and DR said to keep her out of the cold. It's pretty chilly here this weekend. I love it that way, so I'm happy about the cold. But feel badly for the kids. Been to the DR too many times this month, and it's only half way done! Hopefully, she will feel better by tomorrow. On to crafting....

I had a cow I had already colored from TAC's Barn Yard Birthday but hadn't made it into a card yet. I tried a layout I haven't before, where the top of the image is peaking over the top of the card. I think this layout is way cute, and not sure why I haven't tried it before. I used DCWV glitter Sweet Stack. That stack has some way cute papers in there. Fans of cupcakes will be happy with it. I was happy with it, because it found it on clearance for half off! Love deals!
Supplies: TAC Barn Yard Birthday, sentiment retired from TAC, gems from Michaels, DCWV Sweet Glitter stack, DCWV cardstock, Nesties, stickles, lyra water color crayons, SU scallop punch, liquid pearls.
I have to say again, how much I love nesties. I think they are so easy to use with cutting sentiments out in great little sizes! I have so many more on my wish list, and I feel like I grabbed a lot when I got them for Christmas! I think I should feel guilty about that! But, man they make layering so nice and easy!

Than I placed an order at All That Scraps last week, and it arrived today. Grabbed some Gingersnaps stamps-can we say DARLING! Anyhow, I got the Valentine set, and love the little chickie sitting on the mushroom. I'm digging mushrooms lately. Anyways, I found this layout at Sketch Saturdays off a link on my friend Tammi's blog. I also saw a challenge today at Sugar Bowl to use three embellishments, and three different papers. It's hard to tell, but the pink under the fairy is the light pink paper in the Basic Grey Bittersweet pack, so there's three different papers on there. Oops! I think I went over on embellishments, because I have brads, stickles, gems, and flowers! Oh, well, it's still a stinking cute card! LOL! I cut out the section with her knees and mushroom top and popped them out.
Supplies: Nesties, CC Designs Hey Cupid, Bittersweet by Basic Grey, SU pretty in pink cardstock, primas, stickles, lyra water color crayons.
