Snow Day!

Finally, we got snow here in VA! We've had two snow days, with no snow, this school year! Now, go figure no school on Monday and Tuesday due to Teacher work days, and we get a good snow storm! Funny! The kids and I headed out to play, and were out there for about an hour. Trey got chilled, and came in a few times. He didn't have snow boots, so he used my rain boots. We don't get a lot of snow, so that's why he didn't have any. Will have to get some on clearance for next year, just in case. I tried to stick on a pair of Gabi's older smaller boots on him, but he refused cuz they were pink! Like, who's gonna look at your shoes?!

We tried to build a snowman, but the snow was very dry and powdery. No sticking together. So, than Trey built a mound, or mountain, of snow as he called it! Gabi had little snowflakes stuck to her eyes! And you can see the balls of snow on her hair, and Trey hat.

This was Maxwell's first time in snow. He had fun, because several of the neighbor dogs came out, and he got to run around with them, too. Good thing he's so furry, cuz he stayed pretty warm.

Paisley Toby Cub, .

This image worked a little better for me today. I heat set it, and let it sit a long time. Didn't bleed as much. This bear is too cute! The images have been fun to play with and get me creating a little again. This was the challenge for day three at The Greeting Farm. Today's image would make for a fun Valentine's Card to a little boy or a sweet someone.

Mojo Charlotte

Man, I had a hard time coloring this one again. I swear, I'm doing something wrong with digi images. Seems like it's just me who can't get the ink not to smear. I heat set it, but maybe I didn't do that long enough. I really need some tips on this! I couldn't get the face how I liked, no matter what I tried. Ink kept smearing, seems like I need to get refills for a few copics on top of that. But the card is done for the Relay at The Greeting Farm. I tried to follow the Mojo Monday sketch, but I think it was for a square card after I got done making it. So, it's not a perfect match on that challenge. I added shimmerz to her eyes, and used my new Sharpie pen that my good friend, Kim, sent me. That sucker is cool! I didn't add a sentiment yet, because I'm not sure what I'll use this for just yet.

On top of all that, I discovered my hot water heater is leaking, so I've got one on it's way to get put in today. How swell is that?! I'm saying, Jan isn't a good month for me! Is it almost Feb?! It is! Which is good, because Lost comes on soon! Something to cheer me up!

Supplies: basic Grey, so saffron, copics, nesties.

Mer Ian

My sweet friend, Debbie, told me I needed to jump on this challenge today. Both her and Tammi made some darling cards today using him. Good way to get me to create something since I've been slacking, and looks like it'll be a fun venture this week. Be sure to check out The Greeting Farm to find out more details about their CHA Relay and your chance to get some free digi images. I'm still having a issue getting my printer ink not to smear. So, some spots smudged, and I couldn't blend other areas well enough.

I followed a few other challenges making this card.

Pile It On, Warm Wishes. How sunny is Ian?

I followed the Sweet Sunday Sketch. First time playing there. What a fun challenge too.

Stampin' Bee's Nautical theme.

Dare U 2 Digi stamp challenge to use buttons. Worked perfectly because Ian is a digi image!

Supplies: DCWV Summer Stack and cardstock, Wild wasabi cardstock, Night of Navy ink pad, copics, nesties, buttons, Gretting Farm image, Amy R's Summer Sentiments,

Sending Bear Hugs!

Grabbed this cute image from Belles and Whistles. I love Elisabeth Bell images. I grabbed a few of the new images that they just released. I've gotten so many new stamps, but haven't played with any of them yet. The sentiment is from a new TAC set that is coming out.

I've been having a difficult time lately, due to some major personal issues, which is why I haven't been on here posting. So, I used this image first from them, because I'm just really in some needs of hugs! LOL! I'm adopted, and was in foster care for years before being adopted. Lucky for me, a big chuck of those years were with the family that adopted me. My first Christmas with them, I was five, they gave me a bear. I loved the Brady Bunch, and Cindy Brady was my favorite. So, I named her Cindy Bear. I would hug her when ever I was feeling down. To let you know how special Cindy Bear was to me, I still have her in a box. She's full of holes, smelly, and ratty looking. But that bear gave the best hugs!

This card also covers a few challenges.

Supplies: copics, basic grey paper, SU cardstock, primas, stickles, nesties.

Finally a post!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and New Year. I hope the New Year brings boundless blessings to you and your family! I've been busy with the kids, as they got out of school over two weeks ago! I'm ready for them to go back to school tomorrow! Except for the getting up at 7 AM part! I had cut out the title a few weeks back with the Cricut, and just made my page yesterday. So, figured it meant I had something to show off! LOL!

I found these papers at my local scrapbook store. They were so cute, I had to grab each sheet I saw. They had stickers that matched too, so had to get them! I love how the Cricut cuts out the letters, and allows you to layer them. Love using the papers to add some more color to the page in a fun, but useful way.
If you can't tell, I simply love this dog. He's a crazy chap still, but he makes me smile.
Than this other page I made forever ago, and didn't show it off. I saw it when I was putting Maxwell pages in the family scrapbook. I thought it was a good one to put up, because it shows stamping and scrapping together so nicely.
I love TAC's sets that are geared towards scrapbooking. They have three sets that I really love for adding little sentiments to a page, one is about family, one for boys, and one for girls. I have all three, but just recently added the family one to my set. The other stamps on here are from two other TAC sets. I thought the tree went perfectly with my page. It's called Love Blooms. The other sentiment is from a set called Forever Family.
I think sometimes little sentiment likes that add perfect touches on a page, without me having to journal a ton on the page. I'm not big on writing a lot, don't like my handwriting, so, those little sentiments add thoughts on there for me.
