Sapphire Flutterby

I jumped at the opportunity when Danni asked me to be a guest designer for her month long celebration. I discovered her blog about a year go from my friend, Kim. She had a ton of information on her blog, challenges, more online stores, and lots of other blogs to peak at. For the longest time, I would look at the Flutterby Challenge on Wed, but didn't really have a lot of butterfly stamps. Slowly, I would find myself looking at stamps of butterflies just to play along. Than she opened it to fairies as well! I was over joyed! I started playing along regularly, and it's one of my weekly favorite challenges!
This week's challenge keeping with the September theme was to use sapphires. I tried to pull in the color blue, blue flowers, and gems. For my card for her today, I used a stamp named just for her from Elisabeth Bell at Susana's store, which I received as blog candy from Danni. I used my TAC paper line called Lily Anna. I paper pieced her outfit, so her pants look like cords with the textured cardstock. She's colored with copics, covered her wings with angel wings shimmerz, and added a touch of stickles. I followed a layout on A Spoon Full of Sugar.

Other supplies: nesties, pacific blue, TAC sentiment, MS punch, Reflections gems, scrappers floss, primas.

Thanks for stopping by! Thanks, Danni, for asking me to do this! It meant a lot to me!

Apple Mojo

Decided to stamp before running around town today. Cats are out of food! This my take on the Mojo Monday sketch. You see that bow?! I tied it! Danni sent me this cool bow template from Susana's store with some awesome blog candy. Suzanne Dean did a Youtube video on it, and wow, so simple, and so cool! The video is linked with the product listing. I actually tied a bow! So, if you're challenged in that area as well, you need to get this thing.

Anyhow, this is a new set from TAC called Apple Girls. They are so stinking cute! I used a sentiment from TAC's Tagtidbits as well. The paper is Penelope, and Bazzill cardstock. I colored her with copics. Popped out a few parts, the barrel and the pony tail. Added some bling, cuz it's always more fun when it sparkles!

Just Saturday!

What a fun day today! Gabi had dance, Trey had a birthday party, and than a baseball game. Both had activities at the same time, in opposite directions! We won the baseball game, but poor Trey struck out, or got out before getting on base. So, he wasn't overly happy at the end of the game. Hard on Daddy too, because he's the coach, and it's coach pitch, so means Daddy struck him out a few times! Bummer, huh? I can see more hitting practice in the coming days for those two.
When we got back home around 6, and walked poor Maxwell, I sat down to stamp a little. I had gotten some new Magnolias in when my MIL was in town. Had had time to play with them just yet. I took the time to do Friday's Just Magnolia challenge, pink, grey and black, and paired it with Sketch Saturday. I flipped a few elements, due to the size of my image, couldn't fit the sentiment by the bell. I added some shimmers to her boots, pink clothing, and bell. Added stickles to the grey parts. I used some old sparkle paper from TAC for the grey sheet. The sentiment is from SU.

Other supplies: copics, nesties, EK punch, corner rounder, Sabrina paper line, SU pink pirqu ink and paper, PTI black, going grey ink pad.

Fluttering Doodle!

Gosh, these fairies are too cute! This was a RAK sent to me by a sweet friend! I helped get a few of buddies addicted to these cutie pies, nice because I didn't have this image! I thought this was perfect for the Flutterby Wed challenge to have a fairy card with flowers. Kim was her Guest Designer for the week! So cool! Been a rough day here, so I went with something light and happy! Love that Basic Grey paper line, and the colors are just fun! I added some angel wings shimmerz that Danni sent me as a blog candy this month! Gotta say, celebrating her birthday has been a blast! I hope she's having a rocking month long celebration! This the layout for CPS this week. Kinda easy on layers for me. I had a hard time with some of the extra space. But with the day I was having, simple was working for me, so I left the space alone!

Supplies: copics, primas, scrappers floss, nesties, TAC sentiment, Cool Carr cardstock, and ink pad.

Another Cutie by Pink Cat Studio!

Mercy, have you seen the new Pink Cat Studio digital images? So uber cute! I grabbed two today. This is one of them! I was dying to play with her! Love the frogs on here! I've only colored a digital image once before, before I had copics too, and I had a hard time coloring that card in. This one was a ton of fun to color with copics, but I still had a bit of bleeding around the nose, and mouth. So, I kinda laid low on the left cheek. Any tips on that? Regardless of my little nose issue, I love how this card turned out! I popped out the top froggie, and fire pit. I followed a sketch by Pink Elephant. Very fun card! Plus, exciting, two in a row! It's been a few weeks since I've had time to do that!

Supplies: PTI Ripe Olive cardstock and black, stickles, copics, gems from Michael's, Joann ribbon, Elegant eggplant SU ink pad, Basic Grey paper.

Finally! Stamped Something!

Had time to sit down today and finally do some challenges! Seems like it's been ages! Been way too busy! This card is my card for the Mojo Monday sketch. Fun layout! I used my Mellow Basic Grey papers. This little girl is from a new TAC stamp. Such a cute set. I thought her boots on this image looked like rain boots, so I had to grab an umbrella for her. Her boots are covered in paper glaze. Her shirt has fun flock on it. Nice and cozy for a soft fall rain! The original image has apples floating around her head, like she's juggling, but I cut them into two stamps when I mounted them. I can use them together if I want, but I kept picturing her playing in the rain. I cut out her curls and ribbons and popped them out.
This is also my card for Pile It On, which was punches.
3 Clovers Designs-Doodles, I added faux stitching around my card. First time for that!
Supplies: Copics, stickles, SU Close to cocoa ink pad, SU punch, TAC stamp set shower of love, Applie girls, scrappers floss, twill ribbon-TAC, Wild Wasabi cardstock, gel pen, pearls,

All that glitters is pumpkins!

Whew, been busy again! My In Laws came up for a visit on Friday, and I had a good time showing stamping stores and such to my mother in law. We don't get to see them too often because of how busy life gets, and the fact that they are about 12 hours away by car. So, always nice being able to spend some time together. I was showing her copics, stamping techniques, and where to find things she couldn't find in her home town.

We were out and about seeing some fun projects and decided to try our hands at one yesterday. We saw a glittered pumpkin at AC Moore in Martha's crafting section. We were in love when we saw it. We grabbed some pumpkins, and glitter at Michael's, cuz they were on sale there. She found a kit at Michael's with the glue, I had the glue before from a kit I found at Christmas time in Michael's. My MIL made the orange pumpkin, and I made the red one. I started the half glitteritized one in the back, but the glue kept drying too fast. So, I had to stop working on it. I had decided that I want to use a spray adhesive to see if it would cover better. For my red pumpkin, I just stuck my hand in the bottle of glue, and spread it around. My MIL dumped the glitter on it. It did cover very nicely this way, but what a mess! LOL! Totally a fun project. Gabi's dying to make the big one with me. I have a bronze glitter for it!

Side note, some happy mail today! I won some fun blog candy off Danni's Dream! It arrived today! Such great stuff in there! Thanks, Danni! Can't wait to use the angel wings shimmerz! Hopefully, I'll be playing soon! I also had ordered some new Magnolias! They arrived today. Last week was some new TAC stuff, so I'm dying to play with that stuff too! So much stuff, too little time!

Flutterby Birthday

Man, a work in progress today. Hard to get back into the swing of things with the kids starting school. I like to help out as often as I can, so I'm trying to balance two schools. Fun part, both kids start/end at the same exact time and are about 15 minutes apart this year. So, I started this card this afternoon, and just now finished it!

Here is my Mojo Monday challenge. I flipped it. It's also a Pile it on Challenge, which was birthday. And Flutterby Wed, which was pink card. Exciting news, I won some fun blog candy from Danni! Woo hoo, and a big thanks, Danni! I didn't have time to stalk a lot of other challenges today. Only three, that's a short list for me! LOL!

Anyhow, it's TAC's pattern paper, More Mimi, Mimi-retired, and a Mabelle Rose stamp set called Fairy Wishes. So cute. She's got a new one out too, that's even cuter! I almost used it, cuz I got it, but remembered, fairies! No fairies in that set. My cardstocks are SU's rose red, and creamy caramel. Colored her with copics, paper pieced her, and used some fun paper from Target, the major glitter layer. Than she's topped with stickles.

As always thanks for stopping by!

Here's a fun shot of the kids for the first day of school this past week. Gabi was all about the bling! I found her whole outfite, outside of the leggins at Justice. I made her wear black to try to not look like bubble gum so much! This card is so her in fact! Trey was a cool dude, cuz Daddy was saying Momma goes over board with photos. I don't think so!

Johnny All Star

Tomorrow Trey has a birthday party to go to for a little friend of ours. They both share the love of baseball. Johnny is on Trey's baseball team. They quickly became friends over the spring playing t-ball. They both have a love for Star Wars too, and that's the theme of the party. So, I knew I either needed to make a Star Wars card, or a baseball card. After seeing a challenge on Our Creative Corner for Stars and Stripes, it made it a baseball card! From there I did the layout challenge off Taylored Expressions. (I saw they had a new release out, such cute, fun, Halloween stamps! Gonna have to get some!) I had thought baseball bats would have gone perfectly where my cardstock stripes are, but naturally, when I debated the SU baseball set, and the Surf's Up set, I got Surf's up! Doesn't that always happen? So, I dug thru my scrapbook stickers, to find star stickers, but no bats. My center image is from TAC's new set called Summer Boys. My sentiment behind the image is from SU's All Stars set. I colored him in with copics.

Other supplies: nesties, DCWV cardstock, and paper, SU night of navy ink.

Doodles FlutterBy

Man, made a cute card today! I'm so pleased with how this turned out. It's several challenges in one today.
Flutterby Wed-make a birthday flutterby card. It's Danni's birthday on Friday, so a big Happy Early Birthday to her!
Pink Elephant-recipe card: 1 ribbon, 2 squares-the image has a square package, the nesties is square, and it's a square scallope , sparkle something-stickles on flowers, gift and wings.
Cupcake Craft Challenge-3 buttons, a ribbon, and two papers. Hoping my third paper, which is actually just the flip side of one of them won't count against me!
Whimsy Stamp Challenge-some texture. I added scrappers floss, flowers, and dry embossed my green sheet.
Crafty Creations-3 designer papers.
It's also Sketch and Stash Challenge layout. My paper is new, buttons are new, everything else is from my stash. Used new pastel Copic colors on this too. The wings, and the outline-hard to see the outline, it's the opal green.
Supplies: K and Co paper, stickles, nesties, scrappers floss, primas, SU punches, Martha punch, doodle fairies, copics.

I used a RAK from my sweet friend, Tammi. Those doodles are so cute! Gotta love their round little faces!
