Spotty Chick.

Couldn't come up with a good title for this card. This is one is out of normal comfort zone. Pile It On had a good challenge today. Have to say until I saw what the DT came up with, I was stumped! I started to think about what I had that had veggies on it, and a stamp set from TAC just waiting to be inked up. That chick is so cute, isn't it? It's a set by Mabelle R, and she does some way cute images.

Anyhow, I piled it on with the Mojo Monday Sketch.

Pink Elephant Bright Colors.

JUGS Dry Emboss. I embossed around my nesties, but it's not showing up so good in the photo.

Craft Cards was Summer Delights. I think of summer gardening when I think of the carrot car, the colors of the card. I can't find this blog again! I've gone thru both sites that I normally hit to get find challenges, and can't find it on either of them.

I paper pieced my car, and hat. The tires are cut out and propped up. Topped her off with some stickles.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies: So saffron cardstock, TAC stamps, SU felt flowers, stickles, nesties, EK punch, DP retired from Michaels.

Scrapbook Pages.

I've been scrappin and finished some pages. I went on a organization kick last week, and cleaned up my crafting space. So, when I wasn't scrapping, I was cleaning up! And that took some time! But I'm happy to say my desk is still clean after two days! That just about never happens!

My first page is from photos I took of the kids on Mother's Day. Since it was my day, they had to wear what I wanted them to wear, smile when I said smile, and go to where I wanted to take their photos. I took them to a State park that runs along a local river. I think that's the best time I've ever had taking their photos! I think that'll be a new tradition for us! They really did enjoy walking along the river bank too.

I mentioned going Strawberry Picking with the kids and friends. Go figure I had no strawberry paper at home. Worked with what I had in my stash. Probably the best way to go anyways, since my paper keeps expanding....paper packs breed like rabbits! Than after I got my page done, saw all kinds of wonderful strawberry paper in all the stores. I cut my strawberries out with the cricut. Isn't that tool the best? I think I've used it on every page I've created since I got it. Love using it to cut out the titles.

Gabi's dance recital is coming up next month, and I'm behind on her photos from last year. So, finishing up a few routines she'd been in last year. Sadly, her favorite dance instructor left after this recital. She's been around Gabi or taught Gabi since Gabi was 6. So, I had to snap a photo of them-bottom right page. Gabi was heartbroken when she left.

Half the fun for me is trying to catch those things that are part of their lives. My kids whole heartedly love Webkinz. I think everytime Gabi has a few extra bucks in her pocket she has to get another one. I mean, she's got quite a collection already! But she always seems to find one she doesn't have. Last year The Greeting Farm did a Blog Hop, and for it, I'd created a party for their webkinz. Had to make a page for them because I'd done all the work for the 'party'.

All my layouts are from Jeanette's Lynton's books, Cherish, and Imagine. I really can't say enough about these two books. They have really helped me with my layouts, and making my pages more striking. Very cool books. I recommend them to all my friends.

Pile It On #20

Out of the box was the theme for the Pile It On challenge this week. Back in Jan, my neighbor had given me a very cool birthday card. I was in awe of how it was made. I kept looking at it, and knew I wanted to try to make this card. So, I took the opportunity to do that with this challenge. The card also folds flat so it can be put in an envelope and mailed. Just a cool concept!
We also had a very cute sponsor this week, Some Odd Girl. Oh, my some darling digi images. Be sure to check them out! You'll be pleased you did! I thought Mae was way too cute!

Anyhow, here's a list of the challenges for my card:

Paper Cutz: 42 Buttons and ribbon/lace/hemp.

Raise The Bar: Favorite Bag for my color combo.

Stampin For The Weekend: Make someone smile or cheer them up.

Stamp Something Challenge: 2 of somethings, two pattern papers, two types of bling-stickles and gems, two brads

Fluttering Birthdays.

The kids have three birthday parties this weekend. Sat down last night to get a couple of the cards knocked out, instead of waiting til late Friday night! New concept for me! This card is heading to Gabi's friend who is turning 10. She looked sweet and sassy like her friend does. I had to play along with some challenges on my first card.

This is Flutter By Wed challenge for paper piecing.

My other card is heading to a sweet little girl who we've known for a long time. She's turning 6. Into bright colors, so I had fun making her card. I used all scraps on this card. Left over from scrapping lately. I've had that stamp for too long waiting to be inked up too. I added paper glaze to the cupcake to make the icing look shiny.
Supplies: PTI Raspberry Fizz cardstock, ink, Martha Punch, nesties, copics, primas, stickles, smooch, Basic Grey Paper, DCWV Blossoms
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Belle!

This card turned out so pretty! Pleased as punch with it! I saw Belles N Whistles were looking for some new design team members, so I'm sending in to be considered. I love Elisabeth Bell images, and they sell some super sweet ones. This one is one their favorite images. Be sure to check out their blog for more info on the design team search. The deadline is Wed.

I combined a few other challenges on this card.
Pink Elephant's Challenge, yellow, buttons, and designer paper.
There was one more, and can't remember where I had landed in cyberspace. But it was punches, piercing, and piecing. I'll add a link as soon as I remember where I had wandered too. But I paper pierced the pink sheet, paper pieced her hat and shirt, added new flowers over the hat and colored them since I paper pieced the hat. Won't try that again! Those flowers were small! And punched the sheet under the white lace. Now, if I could find that blog!
Sketch and Stash Challenge Sketch 35. The orange flowers are new, the pearls a new gift from a friend, the white ribbon. The rest is from my stash.
Supplies: K and CO Wild Raspberry, Melon mambo ink, copics, stickles, nesties, SU punch, Belles N Whistle's stamp, TAC sentiment, primas, So saffron cardstock.

Because They Said So.

Saw a fun challenge at Club Anya. Since I have two little people, both wanted to pick out supplies to make a card. And they picked out stuff that was totally different from each other! Just like they are in person, go figure!

Gabi is beyond girly. So, she had a great time picking out bright girly papers. And bring on the bling is her personal motto! She grabbed the bling, and told me to add flowers. Her card was easier to pull together. I used the Mojo Monday Sketch 137 for her card. I love how it turned out. I popped up her flowers, and hair bow. I thought since I was making it for Gabi, it should go to Gabi, when she's not expecting it, so I used a sentiment on there that's perfect for her.
Than Trey went the total opposite direction! I handed him boy colored papers to look at and was actually expecting him to pick out some of my surfing/summery styled papers. But nope, he came back with Halloween. I just looked at him....Halloween?! Yup! Than when I was talking about embellies...he said blue flowers. (Me in my head...Um... Blue flowers and Halloween? That's gonna be hard! So, Halloween card it was, topped off with blue flowers!!) I don't have a lot of guy images from The Greeting Farm, so he picked the owl out. He was thrilled with the end result of his card. I'm saying, Halloween card with blue flowers...that is a scary card! I do think it turned out cute, the flowers totally don't match, but it made him happy, and that's priceless! I followed a sketch challenge at Club Anya for his card. I popped out the owl's eyes, and beak.

Teacher Card, and Gabi's Card.

Teacher Apperication was this week, and Trey had a field trip. So, I've been super busy tending to things. This was a card I made for another one of Trey's teachers. I love seeing June Bug paper used, but I seem to struggle more with those bolder bright colors. I got the sketch off Taylored Expressions.

My sweet Gabi made a card for her teacher. I've been busy this week and haven't had time to post it. She was so excited to get the card made, and wanted to make sure that I took a photo where I take my card photos. And she wanted to make sure she read the "reviews". Thought that was so cute! So, here's her card for her teacher for Teacher Apperciation. Her favorite thing to do was punch out the butterflies. She went crazy and punched out a bag full after she finished her card. Child is too sweet!

Thank you and scrapbook page.

Today was a fun day. Went Strawberry picking for the first time ever with a friend. The kids had a blast. I'll have to make a scrapbook page with those photos later! Even had homemade strawberry ice cream while we were out there. Ate a ton of berries too!
Did some thank you cards for Teacher Appreciation this week. This one is for Trey's teacher.
She loves the color yellow. I normally struggle with that color, but man, I love this card! I think it turned out so cute! I use Basic Grey's Lemonade paper. I had picked up some new stamps recently from Hope Stamps Eternal and was excited to play with them! She had a sale going, so make sure you go peak it out if you haven't yet. I got the layout off Amy R's blog. Loved this layout. It's got layers, which I love, but was still good with being a little simple. So, I'll be using it again! I paper pieced her dress, and ribbons. I added some pretty bling to it. Love the red shoes. Reminds me of Dorothy! This set of stamps is so cute from The Greeting Farm. I'm dying to play with the rest of them still. The sentiment is from The Angel Company.
Took these photos of the kids at a new local park. It's a nice walk along some of our local creeks. It was a nice spring day. Snapped a few, against Gabi's wishes. Trey was very open to it, and was a good ham! Gabi had to be coxed into it, and urged to smile. I hope she's not reaching that age where it'll be harder to get good photos of her! I thought the CC Spring Fairies was a perfect match for the page. Love how this page turned out.

Exciting News For Me!

I've been dying to say something about this, but wasn't allowed to yet! Click here to see what I'm talking about! You all see me playing with them weekly.

Chilling on a barrel.

These images were sent to me by Tammi. I have a few manly birthday's coming up, so figured it was worth it to get started on the cards. I tried to do the Just Magnolia sketch, but I went off to the left to show off the paper more under my little Cap'n. I tried to make a cool sentiment like Tammi always does. I think hers looks a ton better than mine turned out. I'm almost, just almost, embarrassed to say I've had that stack of papers from Die Cuts With a View for about 3 years. I love the paper, and can't bring myself to cut it up. But figured it worked perfectly with the pirate, so I had to chop up a few pages. (I say only almost embarrased, because I know there's more horders out there! So, you know how hard it can be to use up something.)

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies: DCWV Stack, Magnolias, copics, dew drops, scrappers floss
