Sending Bear Hugs!

Grabbed this cute image from Belles and Whistles. I love Elisabeth Bell images. I grabbed a few of the new images that they just released. I've gotten so many new stamps, but haven't played with any of them yet. The sentiment is from a new TAC set that is coming out.

I've been having a difficult time lately, due to some major personal issues, which is why I haven't been on here posting. So, I used this image first from them, because I'm just really in some needs of hugs! LOL! I'm adopted, and was in foster care for years before being adopted. Lucky for me, a big chuck of those years were with the family that adopted me. My first Christmas with them, I was five, they gave me a bear. I loved the Brady Bunch, and Cindy Brady was my favorite. So, I named her Cindy Bear. I would hug her when ever I was feeling down. To let you know how special Cindy Bear was to me, I still have her in a box. She's full of holes, smelly, and ratty looking. But that bear gave the best hugs!

This card also covers a few challenges.

Supplies: copics, basic grey paper, SU cardstock, primas, stickles, nesties.

Great to see you posting. I've been thinking about you! I know things are rough but I pray they are getting somewhat better. Love hearing the story of Cindy Bear. I don't recall having that special bond with a bear. My daughter does though - her's is Pink Boo. I think about how she'll look back on it when she's older and it will be ratty, smelling, with holes as well. That just makes it even more special!!

Beautiful card - love Elisabeth Bell images. I haven't gotten any from Belles and Whistles though - will check them out. Love teh swirl detail on the bottom of the dark brown cardstock - is that a punch? If so - need details, lol!

Well you know I would give you a hug in a heartbeat if I could!! I loved your story about Cindy Bear. So neat that you still have her. Mine was a Cabbage Patch preemie named Thomas. His arm is barely attached from me carrying him everywhere :) Loved your card. The image is super sweet and I loved how you colored it.

what is it about this age? (nearly 30) All our childhood issues rise up and bubble over and have to be sorted out properly! I wasn't adopted or fostered, and nothing particularly bad happened to me as a kid, but I've still got all this 'stuff' to deal with now! Crazy! I feel like I understand a little of how you feel...
