Flutterying By Lily, and Scrapping Pages.

Hard card today! Make your own, no pattern papers were challenges at Cute Card Thursday, and Fab n Funky . So, I made the background for my little Lily Fairy. Difficult for me! First off coloring without a starting point from picking colors from the pattern papers. And I came up with blue?! How often do I use blue?! I am happy with how it turned out, but it did take me awhile to get there. Clean is simple was the challenge for Flutter By and that was a challenge for me! I've gotten used to pattern papers and layers. It was also Thank you at ABC.

Than catching up on scrapbook pages still. These are from Gabi's birthday party in Nov. She and a friend turned ten a week apart. We did it up at The Great Wolfe Lodge. Loads of fun there. Indoor water park, Magic Quest, and a very cool birthday cake were in store for their party.

A friend made the cake. The girls both love Littlest Pet Shop, so she made a cake that came apart, so each girl had part of the cake at the end of the night, and all the guest got to pick out some of the pet shops. Very cool cake. It looked like a park, and all of it was made out of frosting. And she made little carrots, and stuff for the animals.

Needless to say, Gabi disliked the green page. Girl is so funny! the other page is okay, cuz it was purple. But the cuteness factor of the cake page didn't win her over! It's another one that will be appericated when she's 25! I love the page, it looks great. Used the Cricut again on both of the pages. That tool is so much fun. Even got it to connect to my computer finally! So yippie for me!

Mojo Sweetness and some pages.

Did a few challenges today. Did the Mojo Monday challenge. Square or circle. Figured since I was making a square card, I would try another easel card.
This is also Pile It's On, Make It Sweet.
Our Creative Challenge- Blossoms.
Creative Craft World-Primas.
Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Sats- make it girlie.
I lost my list that I was going by. So, I think I've gotten all of them. This will be another card for one of the kids teachers. I'm upset that my sentiment is off, but that's the joy of hand stamped, right?!
These stamps are from The Angel Company. I've had them cut out for awhile, and had to finally ink them up. They are super cute.
Did two scrapbook pages for the kids too. Each of their first days of school. I redeemed myself with Gabi, and the green page. This page is so her! As you can tell from her outfit. She loves HOT PINK! And bling! Her page is loaded with it. So, she was beyond pleased with this page.
I think Trey's rocked it for a boy page! I've had that stash of Basic Grey paper for about 4 years. Finally using it. Turned out great. I did the guitars with my Cricut, and Indie Art cartridge. Doesn't it look very cool on his page? I'm so happy with how my pages have been turning out lately.

Bermuda Sugar Nellie.

Goodness, how pretty is this card? I know totally tooting my own horn, but this card is so pretty! My sweet friend, Tammi, sent me this pack of paper by K and Co. and the colors are so soft. Really cool thing about it is it's textured a little too, and it shows up when you softly edge the end with ink. I saw a fun layout on Sugar Bowl, and had to play along. They are giving some sneak peaks of some releases, and all of them are so cute! They also said to pull out some punches, so I used two. One I haven't used yet, and the other is a neglected punch.

I cleaned out my punch tote yesterday to try to reorganize it better. Any tips on how you all store your punches? I moved out some seasonal punches, to keep ones that are good for everyday cards to help out some. I really like the EK ones that fold flat to keep down on the clutter. Wonder if Martha will jump on board with that too.

Teacher appreciation is coming up and I'll need some cards on hand for the kids teachers. This one is pretty bulky with the flowers, so it will be perfect for one of them.

Gotta say, I really love the punch on the brown sheet. It's a Martha Stewart punch, and it so classy looking. Other supplies: Bermuda bay cardstock, basic brown ink, nesties, stickles, primas, copics,

Ruby CC.

Man, I had a hard time with this card. Took me too days to get it done. I'm sure why. Last night I walked away, thinking I was done. This morning added the butterflies, and the sentiment. Looked forever for it, because I could picture it in a SU case, with SU set, and couldn't find it. Searched for about 20 minutes, only to than finally see it in the case on my desk! That sweet sentiment came from my friend, Kim. And I love it. It's a perfect sentiment from her!

Layout was done for me from Flutter By Wed. challenge. The color combo was done Cupcake Craft Challenges. I can't tell what it is, but this is just off for me. Just not even sure why it's off for me, because it's darling. I know exactly who this card is going too. Because it's perfect for a sweet little someone I know!

Other challenges I did on here:
Fab and Funky neglected stash. The sentiment, and papers have been sitting there unused for too long. Even the Martha punch I grabbed a month ago, and just used it.
Inky Impression- 3 layers, 2 DT papers-there's another sheet under the white trellis layer, and one ribbon.
Nut Crafters was Spring Theme.
Spoon of Sugar, and Creative Card Crew where for birthdays.

How cute is this image? This was sent to me by a sweet friend! Totally adorable image! Have you seen the new line coming out with Magnolia? Oh, my, so cute! Anyhow, this covers a few challenges for me. The sentiment is from TAC.

Birthday Magnolia

A few challenges on this card today. I paper pieced her outfit. The pack of paper has tags, and I used the tags to get some different fun patterns for the clothes. Looks like her cheeks need to be blended better. I also ran out of room for my sentiment. I grabbed that swirl punch at Joann's last week. Thought it looks so cool, I'd add another row on the top of my pink sheet. Didn't like it so much afterwards.
JUGS-Pink, Green, Lavender, and yellow-optional. I thought this paper line, Angelee from The Angel Company was perfect for this challenge.
Just Magnolia-Sketch.
Cute Card Thursday-Touchy Feely-texture. I added flowers, embossed the nesties, and a fun trim.
ABC-Sparkle.
Flutterby-Open Challenge.

Working on scrapbook pages still too. These are of Gabi's dance recital last year. She's not overly pleased with these two pages. The Best Friends page was for her baton class, and she said it was "Too Green!" Um, kiddio, you're wearing green and black! Kids! I'm sure she'll appreciate it more in a few years! I used my Cricut to cut out the title. That black sheet is covered in glitter. I found those papers at Target. They have some fun colors. I used a silver sheet on the page below.
The ballet page is beautiful, as far as I'm concerned! She wanted me to use a purple sheet instead of the blue that was in the K and Co paper pack. But the photos looked prettier with the blue. (I think it was because it pulled out her eye color.) I will get good used out of this pack of papers, as all of her costumes this year will be black and white. I found this pack at a scrapbook store, but also saw it at Michael's in the wedding scrapbook area.
My friend took these photos of Gabi, and they turned out so good. She has three boys, so she doesn't get to play with girly photos too often.
Gabi was in Swan Lake at the recital last year. They have one big ballet dance during the recital, and a few classes are part of it. Her group was Russia, I think. Her costume was so pretty! I loved this costume. Made her seem like she was a little flower blooming out of her costume. I snapped some photos of her at the recital with friends, and will make a page with it. But these photos were too pretty not to make a page of them too!
I'm adding big photos of the Swan Lake pages, because my family hasn't seen these photos yet. Also, so I can let my friend see how pretty they turned out in a scrapbook page. Didn't she do a great job on those pictures?! Can I say again, how much I just love these photos?!

Sweet Emma!

Goodness, okay, I'm so pleased with this card! How cute did it turn out?! I combined a lot of challenges on this one. Lost is coming on in a few so I need to post and run!
Mojo Monday Sketch.
Try It Out Tuesday- Embossing. My little blue panels are embossed. As is my scallop oval, but it's hiding, too.

Crazy 4 Challenges recipe card-1 ribbon, 2 buttons-just realized I used three, and three punches.
All Sorts- Petals and Pearls. Don't know if you can see the anklet, or her flipflops well. Both have pearls on them.
Pink Elephant recipe- 1 image, 2 dies, 3 favorite embellies.
Cupcake Craft Challenge- Childhood memories. We had a cat, named Pepper, who I adored. This sweet image from Susana's store reminds me of Gabi, wearing flip flops, and being a total girl.

Tuesday Morning Sketch- soft hues, flowers and ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies: Basic Grey paper, Emma, nesties, baja breeze cardstock, and ink, so glad it's coming back, primas, pearls, stickles, copics.

More Scrapbook pages.

I'm on a roll with these pages this week. Got 3 more done. I'm putting these up for family to see. They all live out of state, so they don't get to see these small moments all the time with the kids. Trey plays baseball, and these are from fall ball. A mom on our team took the nice photos of him. She rocked the pictures! Trey looks so cute in the photos. I used a TAC stamp, and Pink Cat Studio Sporty Billy for my accents on that page.

The other pages are just simple fun ones. Love the Cricut. I used it to cut out the Winter Fun, and did Diamond Dust on it to give it some added bling. The snowflakes were stickers I had floating around. We had gone ice skating for the first time with friends over the Christmas Break. Gabi wasn't fond of it, but Trey took off and did very well his first time on skates.
Than the last is just Trey's toothless photos. Those were all just stickers. The layouts were provided by my favorite books from Jeanette Lynton. I adore both her Cherish and Imagine books are both used often in my house! I love the clean looks of the layouts, while allowing me to add a lot of photos! Plus, many sheets of fun papers! I think it's a very worth wild purchase, (both can be found at Michael's, or from a Close To My Heart demo) if you're wanting to scrapbook but are kinda lost where to start or coming up with layouts.

Fluttering By with CC Designs

Man, this was so much fun to make! Took me some time though. This is my first easel card, so Tammi wasn't the last person to try it! I some how thought my paper was 8.5, when it was 11 inches long, so you should have seen me at first watching the video on SCS. My base wasn't looking like Beate's and I couldn't figure out why!

I combined a lot of challenges on this card.

Pile It On Easel card
Stamp with Fun recipe card- three flowers, three papers, two buttons.
Crazy Challenge Angel or Fairies.
Crafty Creations Paper Piecing-my little fairy on the inside is paper pieced.
All That's Scraps shape card, I hope easel works for that challenge.
For Fun Challenges April Showers May Bring Flowers, Spring, rain, or flowers.
Fab N Funky Challenges Neapolitan Ice cream.

It was also a person challenge from my friend, Debbie, who sent me some supplies to use the next time I did a big challenge card. She sent ribbons, the heart gem, and the heart brad.

I saw the pearls lined up like that with a sentiment on Sparkle's blog, and thought it looked so pretty. So, I had to case that idea.

With the kids on Spring Break I also have been working on scrapbook pages. Trying to catch up some while the crafting bug has bitten me! I got done their Halloween pages last night. Posting them for family to see. Gabi was a pretty butterfly this year, and Trey was Jango Fett. All his little friends seemed to be that this year. This baseball page is so girly, which is funny to me. But Gabi's dance group dances to Put Me In Coach, and it's a dance routine. Seems ironic to make baseball girly. I'll make sure not to show Trey, as he'll think I committed a serious crime!
Supplies: Basic Grey Bittersweet, Rose Red, Creamy Caramel cardstock, close to cocoa ink, stickles, Martha punch, copics, SU felt flowers, CC Designs, TAC sentiment.

Mojo Joy

My friend, Tammi, recently sent me this lovely image from Whiff of Joy. I hadn't gotten this kit, and was so excited to see those images in the happy mail she sent. We are having Spring Break here in VA, and the weather has been lovely. It's a perfect day for a Spring card!

Today's card has a few challenges on it.

Cupcake Craft challenge to make your own flowers.
I had grabbed some of the fine flower soft from 7Kids, and really like it. It's a lot finer, and I really liked the look of it on the flowers on here. I saw she had sand colored, gonna have to try that on a beach scene.

Supplies: PTI cardstock, SU So saffron cardstock, ink, nesties, Martha punch, glimmer mist, stickles, copics, Basic Grey Green at Heart, flower soft, PTI buttons.

I also managed to finish up a scrapbook page I started awhile back. Got all to the way to embellishments and the title. I cut the title out with my Cricut. Love that gadget! Discovered those huge brads in my stash. I had totally forgotten I had gotten them from Queen and Co awhile back. They were the perfect touch on the page. This sucker is very bright, but I do love bright pages for the kids. I used a TAC stamp set for the gingerbread house. I can see that stamp set being handy for the next few years. The kids love making those gingerbread kits. It was pretty exciting last year finding the train set at Target. Trey liked that better than house kits.

Oh, Yeah!

Can you believe, two posts in a row?! Seems like ages since I did that! Its amazing how much you can miss something when you don't do it for awhile.
It's taken me forever to ink this cutie pie. My sweet friend, Debbie, sent it to me forever ago, and life being what it's been, I finally inked it up! How cute is she?! Than I saw this sketch challenge over at Club Anya, and had to play along. This isn't my normal color combo, but used this paper line from Basic Grey because of the funky green paper. Thought it looked a little cool, and would go well with a Chelsea as she's rocking out to her ipod. Reminds me of my friends in 8th Grade listening to their Walkmans. I remember how big of a deal it was when they came out with the ones with auto reverse so you didn't have to flip your tape around.
I added stickles to her shirt, and her eyelids. You know a cutie like that loves bling!
Supplies: SU cardstock, Basic Grey Pantry and Nook, primas, stickles, copices, nesties, The Greeting Farm, retired TAC sentiment

Oh, so sweet Magnolia!

Goodness, how sweet is this image? I had a blast coloring her in! I was sent this sweet image from Debbie. I had also just grabbed these nesties. (I was showing a friend how to make a card the other day, and couldn't find them to save my life. They were there, with another set on top of the plastic holder. So, I couldn't see them. Don't ya just hate that?! Not sure if that's a sign that I have too much stuff or what! And you know, I was showing her stuff to get her addicted and stamp with me! I think it worked! She brought a cuttle bug that next day!) But as soon as I saw the image, I thought it would look perfect in them. I was right too. They were made for a princess! This card is heading to a little girl who turned ten last month. It's probably more girly than she is. But Gabi's gonna love it when she sees it. I followed a sketch challenge on Taylored Expressions.

Supplies: K and Co paper, So saffron and Regal rose cardstock, copics, stickles, regal rose ink, nesties.
