Try It Out Tuesday Flower Power

I saw that Susana's store had some new Elisabeth Bell images out, and snagged a few of them last week. Picked up an older released stamp too. Gabi was excited to see that stamp. It has horses with the little girl. Man, Susana had some quick shipping too! Already able to play with them! I had to play along with their sketch challenge today. New stamps, fun sketch...the world is a good place to be today! I made a mistake punching out the cardstock. But I was hoping it wasn't totally noticable. They also wanted us to use Flower Soft. I have it on her head band and little bundle of flowers.

Have to plug in another company here too, as my papers came from them. We have a sponsor, Queen Scraps, this coming week on Pile It On. She sent us out some lovely scrapbook kits. Mine was the Making Memories Flutter Page Kit. I'll have my scrapbook pages up on Sunday, but wanted to show off the lovely papers in a couple of cards that I made this week. Her kit is pretty cool and comes complete with a layout idea for those who would like help with that. Mine had buttons, a double sided ribbon, very pretty papers, three sheets of cardstock, stickers, and paper flowers. I'll be showing off most of that on Sunday with my scrapbook page. Today's card just shows off the papers a little. One sheet had stripes with pink glitter on the pink strip, a pearly flower sheet which I used inside my card, and a double sided pattern sheet. That polka dotted stripe is a sticker from the pack topped off with one of the cute button stickers she had included.
Thanks for stopping by.

Party Time Tuesday #5

Today is Party Time again! Today we have an open challenge at Party Time Tuesdays, so that means just a birthday card, with birthday sentiment on the front of the card. We do hope you'll play along with us! Great way to build up a stash of birthday cards, instead of waiting to the last second to get them made...or wait, is that just something I do?! Make sure you click on the links to the right, or go to the Party Time Tuesday Blog to see what the other design team members created today.

My card today was a challenge given to me by Gabi, who is ten, who LOVES hot pink! I mean, the kid loves this color and has since she was 2. Cute story about when we discovered she was into this color. She was playing a Crayola computer game, and if you clicked on the color it said it out loud. So, all we would hear when making dinner was "Hot Pink. Hot Pink. Hot Pink." She'd end up with a picture of the sky colored in hot pink. Isn't she a cutie?! I snapped that picture of her on Mother's Day this year.

Back to her challenge...she wanted me to do hot pink hair on the mermaid stamps from CC Designs. I pleased her with the purple hair but it wasn't pink, so now I had to wing hot pink hair for her. So, I took her up on her challenge. (And note for a future card, she also challenged me to rainbow hair!) I found this DCWV stack at AC Moore and loved the bright colors in it. Screams fun! I cut out the seal and popped him up. Oh, that was a demand from Gabi too, use the seal. Than topped off with some pretty primas, and stickles. Super bright card, and I just love that!

I do have to say, what a fun card this turned out to be! I used Amy R's sentiments, and generated the It's your birthday. I wanted it to say Seas the day...It's your birthday. I hope that comes across in the card.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you play along! And don't forget to check out the Party Time Tuesday blog and the other team members for their wonderful creations! Be sure to link your creation back up to the blog as well!
Supplies: Copics, CC designs, DCWV, primas, PTI cardstock, SU cardstock, SU punches, EK punch, stickles, dew drops, nesties.

Party Time Tuesday #4

Today is Tuesday, so that means it's time to party! Today's challenge at Party Time Tuesday is Red, White and Blue! Gotta be honest, that's normally a hard color combo for me. So, I dug out some papers, and used two Basic Grey packs, June Bug, and Boxer. I also had picked up those stars at Michael's on clearance, and thought they'd be perfect for the challenge. I added white lines to my fella's shirt with that fun painter pen that my sweet friend, Kim, sent me. I also colored the bottom of my dew drops. I had wanted them to appear more white than just clear. Cool that the paint pen worked! I added Glossy Accents to make my bottles seem like glass. I popped out the bottle in his hand, and the box of drinks.

Be sure to add your birthday sentiment on the outside of the card to be considered for Top Three. We'd love to see what you make so pop back to the PTT blog and link your lovely creation!

Mojo Mermaid!

Man, if at first you don't succeed, try again, right? I started this card last night. Picked out the image, the papers, and colored. I'm so not lying when I said I can't do out of the box coloring! I had tried to take the lesson from Gabi, who is ten, and color my mermaid differently. Yea, my first attempt at purple hair....SCARY! I would post a photo of it, but really, it was that bad! I'd hide my blog in shame! LOL! Anyhow, so I came back today to try again on the hair. This time, I gotta say, WOW! How cute did she turned out? I covered her tail in smooch. Bonus for redoing it today because the Mojo Monday sketch is a fun one! Sadly, I'm almost out of that paper pack. It's been discontinued by TAC. Such a pretty paper line! Gotta say, these mermaids from Sweet November are way fun to color! I used a sentiment from Amy R's Underwater set.

Pile It On #24, Stickers

Here is my card for the Pile It On Sticker challenge. We had a cute sponsor with digital stamps today. AI Factory has some darling images. I really liked her Ella line.

I used my Basic Grey Kioshi paper line, as it seemed the most zen like for a yoga girl. I paper pieced her outfit, and colored her with copics. I had grabbed the stickers at Michael's and thought they were the perfect touch to my yoga gal, and zen card!

My other challenges:
Sketch Sat- sketch.
Crazy for Challenges: Paper flowers.
Dare you 2 Digi: Bloom and butterfly
Crafty Challenges #78: This is a stitch up.
LaLaLand #43: embossing.

Gabi's Pink Haired Mermaid and Teacher Gifts

We had a birthday party today. Gabi wanted to help make the card. I just got those darling stamps in and she wanted to use them. Than she colored, with copics, big deal for me, cuz I don't share, but she did her hair pink. I was impressed, because I can never do that. I can't color things out of the norm, and she didn't think anything of it! Big high five from Mom! I had shown her how to blend on the card she colored for Father's Day. So, she was excited cuz she blended the cheeks. I cut it out and did the layout for her.

It's been a busy week here. Last week of school for us. Means Field Days, class parties, and last minute running around without little ones under foot. On top of that Gabi's dance recital was on Sunday, so I was busy with that last weekend, and photos of her routines this week. So, I've been here there and everywhere it seems this week! Have to show off some cute stuff real fast.

I've been sucking a friend of mine into the crafting world! Love doing that to people! Anyhow, we sat down to make some letters for the teachers as a little gift. She loved making them and matching papers and embellies! Mine are the top two, and are rather mellow for me. Not sure how that happened! Her's were bright and colorful, and well...more like how I normally make things. The teachers loved receiving them, and I loved hearing what they tought about them! Nothing beats a personal item for someone who has touched your child's life in so many ways during the year. My favorite touch on my friend's was the button on the tree. How stinking cute is that?!

Couple Father's Day Cards

Worked on a few cards this week for Dads. Manly cards are so hard it seems. Gotta space, fill it with flowers....just can't do that for the dudes! TAC came out with a way fun dude set this past spring. I've really enjoyed the images in it. This reminded me of my one FIL who is in construction. I love how the stomach peaks out under the shirt! I paper pieced his whole outfit.

Than on my second card I used some un-inked stamp sets from TAC. The label stamp fits perfectly with the nestie. So, it was a nice way to add some pop to the nestie shape. I don't normally make cards that center around sentiments. I seem to struggle with that, so this card was hard to feel positive about. I created the Father's day sentiment off the computer. I followed Mojo Monday 143.

Party Time Tuesday #3.

Thanks, Debbie! Got a message from her that I forgot the photo! LOL!
Hello again! It's time to party with the Party Time Tuesday Blog. Today is Anything Goes, as long as you use a birthday sentiment on the front of your card. I have a lot of men with birthday's in the summer, so I made a card for one of them. I used a fun set from TAC that they came out with for Dad's. I think it's called Greatest Dad, and the sentiment is from That Guy set, which came out at the same time. I tried the spot dots for the grass. Not sure I like it, but I liked the rest of my card, so I'm not looking at the grass! I stamped the dad and kid out on another sheet and raised them up. I did the Mojo Monday 140 sketch for this card.

Be sure to stop by the Party Time Tuesday blog to get your party started! Looking forward to seeing what you create!

Supplies: Basic Grey Boxer, Bordering Blue cardstock, nesties, copics, TAC stamps, dew drops.

Party Time Tuesday #2.

Time to party, cuz it's Tuesday! Today's challenge at Party Time Tuesdays is to make a birthday card using a number. I had recently picked up this cute horse set from Whimsy Stamps. (I knew Gabi would just love it, and she did.) I had this paper pack for the longest time. I thought it would go perfectly with the horse set, and the challenge to use a number. But than I went digging thru the paper, and couldn't find any of the number sheet. Ack! Lucky for me, I never toss anything. I remembered I used it to make some party favors for Gabi's birthday two years ago. So, I dug thru my stash, and found one leftover sheet with the numbers on it! Woo hoo! Happy dance!

Be sure to check out the Party Time Tuesday Blog to see what the other Designers created. Some lovely artwork to see over there! Than make sure you join in the fun! All you have to do is make a birthday card, use a number, and put the sentiment on the front of the card! Can't wait to see what you come up with, so make sure you link it back to the blog! Look forward to parting with you!

On a fun note, Gabi had to join in the fun this week. She made a card for her Daddy, who's birthday was last week. She wanted to put the years on there using the Cricut. She told me which numbers she wanted which color of paper. So perfect that it was the theme too. She colored her robot, and even had to highlight the words. Too stinking cute! Naturally, have to show off her card too.

Thanks for stopping by, and make sure you join in the fun too!
