Finally Fluttering Sketch #200.

Sadness hits me as I post this post.  It's our last Flutter By Wednesday post.  I've had a blast being on the design team and playing along with Danni's challenges.  Undoubtedly, my supplies of butterflies, fairies and angels have increased due to this blog!  I will miss it, posting weekly for it, seeing all the creations that would come in from the fans participating and the other design members!
Today's one of my favorite types of challenges at Flutter By Wednesday.  We have a sketch challenge!  And its' a fantastic sketch!  It's provided by Deconstructed Sketches.  I used an image sent to me from Tammi.  Darling little fairy is from Lili Of the Valley.  I had a blast coloring her up, thank you, Tammi!

Gabi's Scrapbook Pages

Catching up on some scrapbook pages.  This was Gabi's first day of 6th grade.  I felt this was too primary in colors after I finished with her page, but drew from the colors in her backpack.  She was also wearing clothes that didn't enable me to draw from it.

I had a pack of paper from The Angel Company and it went perfectly with her backpack.  I was even lucky enough to have one of the small mini-scrapbook kits still on hand, which allowed me to cut out more shapes from my Cricut Cartridge Locker Talk.  It was nice because the kit had the little tags with it, and I wrote down each of her teacher's and their subjects on the tags.
Gabi has really gotten in to drawing and art this year.  So, my main focus on her accents on this page were art supplies.  All of which were found on the Locker Talk cartridge.  Kyle told me he thought the computer was the coolest part.  Coming from a 10 year old boy, I think that's a serious compliment!
My sketch was from Jeanette Lynton's book.  I don't think I ever make a scrapbook page without her book and sketches.
Thanks for stopping by!

Flutter By Wednesday 199, CASE The Fluttering First.

First I must apologize for the flub up last week.  I went to make my card, and I swear, it died by Copics!  So, I gave up, because it just wasn't working.  Meant to come back and finish, or at least post about the challenge.  So, big apologies to my team mates at Flutter By Wednesday
I do have a question if any of you copic pros can give me a tip...I refill my markers, and sometime, they drip.  Drives me batty.  I can't get them not too.  What am I doing wrong, and what can I do to get them to stop blobbing?

Anyhow, this week, we are casing the very first ever Flutter By Wednesday card.  I have to admit, there's no stamping on my card.  I couldn't find my big butterfly stamp to save my life...see how well crafting is working for me?!  Anyhow, so I used a sticker I had that I thought worked perfectly for this challenge.  Please be sure to peak at the Flutter By Wednesday blog for more details, and to see what the team made for the challenge.  I also think Danni has a little announcement to make.  So pop over, and make sure you link your creation as well!

Flutter By Wednesday 197, Open Challenge, Sparkle Creations.

Today we are sponsored by Sparkle Creations at Flutter By WednesdaySparkle has created her own line of stamps.  Some darling stamps over there.  I inked up Sunflower Charlotte.  Sunflowers and Charlotte make me think of Kim from Sunshiny Days.  Her little one is getting so big!  I miss seeing her cards though!  Back to my card.  I always get a little nervous when we have a sponsor and I want to make sure I showcase their product just right.  I hope she likes what I've done with her image.  I had a blast coloring it!  I used a pack of paper from The Angel Company, which is no longer in business.  I thought the paper colors went perfectly with Charlotte!

Make sure you pop by Sparkle's store to check out all her new goodies!  Flutter over to the Flutter By Wednesday blog to see what the other design team members came up with as well!  Don't forget your butterfly, fairy or angel on your card!  We look forward to seeing what you all make today!

Trey's Scrapbook pages.

Been catching up on scrapbook pages.  This is of Trey's first day of 4th grade.  I normally wouldn't go so um....well freakish on a page not for Halloween, but the thing that stood out to me the most was his t-shirt.  From there a theme was made for this page.  I smudged ink all over the skulls, and I think I did good replicating the t-shirt.  I used my cricut, and Indie Art to cut out my skulls.  They even layered up for me.  I used Locker Talk for the fourth grade sentiment.  The paper pack I found on clearance at Michael's, and it had the lined paper in it.  Perfect for his page.  Trey's nine now, and wanting his hair longer.  He so needs a haircut in this photo!  He does have good hair!  Wish I had it, thick and a slight wavy.
I followed a sketch out of Jeanette Lynton's book, Cherish,  I heart her sketch books.  Thanks for stopping by!
