Scrapping Love

I did some scrapbook pages the other day. I couldn't get a good photo of Gabi's page, so I was waiting to post until I had natural light on Tuesday. Than I got sick Monday night. Paul blamed my cooking. I was the only one who ate it, because he and Trey snubbed it! Gabi was at a sleep over. She didn't make it thru the night, and came home at 11. Than she woke up at 5:45 sick, so it wasn't my cooking, cuz she didn't eat any of it! We than laid around all day too beat up from the night before to do anything!

However, I finally got the kids first day of school done. Yea, I know, it's April, and they'll be out of school in two months! One thing I loved about a set stickers I found at my local LSS had a spot for personal information. I have the kids fill it out, so it's their handwriting going into their books. I have terrible handwriting, so you don't see too much journaling from me, and if I do journal, it's often done on my computer. I do love the idea of them having it in their books, so I printed it off my computer, and had them fill it out.
For Trey's pages, I had some Basic Grey paper floating around. I think it turned out to be a very cool page for him. I used my Crop Big Bite to put the eyelets in. Gotta love that six inch reach to get to center of 12 inch papers!
Gabi's papers came from the new Spring Glitter Foil stack by DCWV. I'm telling ya, I love those big stacks fo papers! I own far too many of them. Her page turned out to be mono toned, so I stamped a bit on hers to show the difference between the layers. I used TAC swirlies, and SU's Pacific Point ink pad. I also used everythings blooming and added her down to the bottom of the page. I put buttons in the center of the flowers already on the paper. I cased this layout right out of my favorite scrapbook, Cherish by Jeanette Lynton. I used TAC's This girl for the sentiments that are cut out on her page.

Than I played with a new Sugar Nellie stamp. I also did the Sketch and stash challenge on this card. The stamp is new, the pattern papers are new. I also opened up a new roll of Raspberry fizz ribbon, but got it last month. I also didn't plan to have the flower on the top where its located. I discovered my kids had put a Wii game on top of the card, and moved the dew drop down. It dried there. Gasp, wanted to wring kids necks! But I didn't. I pulled it off, but that left a mark, so I added the flower to hide that. I hope it still looks okay.

And look what arrived at my house today? I ordered some from here on Sat, and they arrived today! I sat down and played a little but haven't completed a card yet. Hopefully, will post that tomorrow.
