Stump Me Flutterby

It's Wed, so that's another Flutterby on Danni's blog. She stumped me with the color combo part of the challenge. I'm not good with blues. So, I'm digging thru my stash of papers, and remembered I had Boxer by Basic Grey! Ding ding! That made it a lot easier for me. Than I couldn't cut my image straight for the life of me. I had to distress the edges to make it work. Not sure what was up with me and my cutter today! I only have a limited number of Copics, so I worked with the blender pen to highlight the dark blue. I highlighted with a white gel pen on the shirt. Added some stickles, and buttons. The sentiment is a Hero's Art set. Teacher Appreciation is next week, so this will make a perfect card for one of the kids teachers.
Other supplies, EK punch, ribbon, nesties, SU word punch.

You know Anna, I love it when I have to change my design and it works out better than I intended! I love the look of the distressed edges on your card! It is just perfect with the stamped image! You did good girl (happy face!)... As for your paper cutter, you might try first checking to see if there is any adhesive on your blade, and if not, try cutting thru aluminum foil folded a time or two. Make 4-5 cuts the whole length of your blade. It's worth a try? Great card!
