Totally Adorable Teacher Gift

I spoke about Gabi's dance instructor in my last post. One major thing these two share together is a love of socks. I guess her teacher looks at all the socks before they change into shoes, so the girls love to show off new socks. Once her car broke down, and was stranded. She was wandering around a store, and saw some socks, and brought them because she was like, Gabi will like these. Gave them to her and her friend the next time they had dance. (She gave the other girls in the class flowers.) I knew I wanted to give her a bunch of socks as a gift, but kinda boring to just shove them in a bag. Than I remembered passing along a link I had seen on Lauren Meader's blog for her Bun in the Oven, and she had a how to on making a cupcake out of socks! Genius idea! Totally went with it and ran. I grabbed a ton of socks at Walmart and Target, and got to making cupcakes. While I was at Target, I discovered a cute cupcake pan, with lid with it. Now, a mom of six must make cupcakes often! So, I grabbed it. The end result of this project is darling! I showed it to Gabi, and she thought it was too cute! I can't wait to give this to her teacher. It has 18 pairs of socks in it! Isn't this a perfect way to share socks with her? Look at the two in the center, they look like they got cherries on top! I sprinkled some Martha Christmas glitter on top.

I have a few teacher projects to do, and show case in the next few days. Those with young children in school will want to see this book I discovered that another mother made. We made it for Gabi's third grade teacher because we thought it was so cute. I'm working on finishing it up in the next day or two, so be on the look out for that! I know I'm always looking for fun ideas for teachers for the end of the year, or even Christmas, so I hope you all enjoy seeing the projects.
